Kareese,

They have the exam called QCA Performance from P.3. The results have been converted from National Curriculum levels and are intended only as an indication of your child's perfromance within an ability range.

The school report will send to you on Jun in each year. It's a progress report, including general comments, achievement on Eng, Maths, Sci, Act, Music, History............etc

first 2 weeks, 我都係pack simple snack & lunch比佢 (得果4yr9mths old, 我當時個心同妳一樣, 攪得掂冇??)

for snack:
biscuits (我choose佢最like的few favour, 日日不同)
drinks (hi-5 apple/orange juice, 維他奶, Qoo......)

for lunch:
sandwiches (jam, butter, peanut-butter)
fruits (orange, 沙田友, 提子)

因為佢地age重細(都要睇下妳個小朋友smart唔smart), 真係有機會if d ham變味, 連個小朋友都唔notice架

所以我天氣涷至會pack ham&cheese sandwiches, 依家都4月lu, 應該開始熱

因心情依然不大好(個仔d疹重未退), 講住咁多比妳handle first 2 weeks先啦!

多謝妳地的關心, 朋友不在, 個心巳經唔舒服, 又加上個仔not feeling well  (我地一路以為係rose疹(連airport個醫生都話係)), 點知前晚又high fever番, 再睇多次自己個醫生, 至知係另一種virus made him出疹.........要食5日antibiotic, 好散d藥, 攪到佢冇晒心機, poor boy, 我又sleep得唔好

我仔仔好得8899, 同埋today個mood都calm down左好多, 多謝各位之前的問候, thanks!

cpmummy:
share下妳之前的question先.
1) 我女女係在學校(local kinder)開始學中文的
2) 現在就請左佢k2個class teacher同佢private lesson學中文(once a week, 1hr)
3) yes! is one by one, 我覺得中文比較難, 一對一可以集中去教同correct佢錯的地方(加上我女係用左手, 所以write中文字的方向感冇咁好, 要成日提住佢)

學中文真係not easy, 同埋唔可以停, 我地身在hk, 要學都不難架, 出街, 屋企, tv, mtr, 度度都有中文 (好過身在外國啦)

我同老公都勁鐘意睇書, 所以個女都係, 至於english(Phonic), 佢在kinder開始學的, 果時係用longman的phonic for kids

我believe大家都想教好自己仔女的中文, 一齊努力啦, not easy架! 最緊要我地唔好give up, 連parent都放鬆, 個小朋友必定冇心機學(因為english真係simple好多)

Thank you for your sharing.

I always think that kid should start to learn Chinese as earlier as possible, I am afraid that if we don't keep on teaching her Chinese, she will refuse to learn when she enter P1 (5 years old), because as you said they will find English is much easier.

I also want her to learn PHONIC, as they don't teach PHONIC in ESF kinder. However, will that be too much for a 3 years old girl? PHONIC, CHINESE, Mandarin and also Ballet course. I really don't know what I should choose, as definately she can't attend all, so I asked myself, what reason I send my daughter to international kinder? because I want her enjoy learning in school and no need to play the HK educational game, but if I send her to attend many course, that's means I am following the same path as they did. What should I do?

Dear all,

Would you mind to share with me how to keep up your kid english and chinese's standard? I don't want to give up anyone as I believe both are important.

-Are you cantonese speaking family? Do you speak english at home? or the vice versa?

-Do you think learn PHONIC is a must?

-Simiplified chinese character and mandarin VS traditional chinese character and cantonese. What will you chose? why?

-If you choose traditional  chinese character and cantonese. Do you think that the kid will confuse as in fact they learn simiplified chinese character in ESF school.

我100% agreed cpmummy said (what reason I send my daughter to international kinder? because I want her enjoy learning in school and no need to play the HK educational game, but if I send her to attend many course, that's means I am following the same path as they did)

不如我地都share下, 大家的小朋友, 有乜after school classes?

我女女so far只有2樣 (chinese & piano), phonic學校有教(no worry), 今個summer holiday就會上swimming lesson同埋ice-skating lesson(but呢2樣, 佢學識就會停)

其它媽咪, 妳地都share下啦! thanks!

中文故事class係Society of Genesis in Shatin (Tel#26011110)，我個仔好鍾意返。我唔敢望佢中文會好好，只希望佢對中文有興趣同喜歡睇中文故事書。

由於學校No homework，都唔覺得好忙，不過佢就唔鍾意練琴同練Violin。
