Is Logos students/parents really free of pressure?
I got the information from this web site that
-Logos students will be grouped according to their abilities,
-there will be a percentage of repeaters from P3 onwards,
-not too small number (?20) of students have to repeat F1 last year (some of them left the school)

Hi everybody,

I totally agree with 武航's opinion.

My daughter is not studying at Logos, but a similiar school - 臻美. She spends her school days happily everyday. It is too earlier to prove that her academic achievement is good, because she is only at P3. However, I would say, she is on good track.

If both orthodox western style schools and spoon-fed HK schools can nurture good pupils, why don't we let our kids study at a happy environment?

I understand most of the parents here would "vote for" La Salle, but I recommend Logos.

Again, I agree with your view - I'm a parent of Logos and yes, we have some degree of pressure...and your information on the first two points are correct but not sure about point three cos I'm only a primary school parent..

From Logos Web: 拓展階段為期五年，.......這個時期的學習要求，明顯較上一階段提高

- Logos students will be grouped according to their abilities,
(Yes for current FS3 students, in fact this is not a bad thing)

- there will be a percentage of repeaters from P3 onwards
(We don't know yet since the highest form is FS3 only)

- not too small number (?20) of students have to repeat F1 last year (some of them left the school)

請問"拓展階段"是甚麽家伙來的?

如果你是從Logos Web得知有此"拓展階段"，而推测這個時期的學習要求，明顯較上一階段提高的話。祟喜你，就算令朗讀唔掂基督教學校、轉到佛教學校也可很快適應。

Judy,

基礎階段為期三年 Foundation Stage (FS1 - PS3)
拓展階段為期五年 Development Stage (DS1 - DS5)
通達階段為期三年 Mastery Stage (MS1 - MS3)
total 11 years course

I think you also believe that reasonable pressue is good to anyone including the kids.

I like it clearly states that the requirements will be increased gradually. This will clarify the wrong impression that there is no pressure to study at Logos if there is any.

Logos 的家長叫你選擇 Logos
La salle 的家長叫你選擇 La salle

試問有無其他學校的家長叫你選擇 Logos?
我相信大部份家長都會叫你選擇 La Salle.

i just registered to Logos
on the other hand, i now train my kid until next july, if i think my kid can catch up La Salle , i will take the La Salle seat, if i think my kid can not catch up , i will give up La Salle seat
because my first choice is DBSPD but need to wait the second interview, my second choice is La Salle and the third choice is Logos

ans La Salle , i also have friends kid study too
i think peer group is very important

because i know my kid not very like writing , but he love reading, and now he only can spell 10 words per week,the most important thing is he is very active , and i need to train his patent, if he can not sit properly , i think must be many complaint

小心,理論上不能同時register Logos 及La Salle 小學。教統局不知會否當你自動放棄其中一間。
