我之前都係想比個女讀嶺南，就係因為驚佢太淺，變左一定要直升番自己間小學，同埋校舍太"山卡啦"，但我知道返嶺南會好開心，正如有你所講的好處，但最後都無比佢讀，令願搵間深少少，等佢第日可以容易d考小學同多d選擇嘛。其實以我所知小朋友太內斂都不太適合讀嶺南小學，先至聲明該小學唔係唔好只係佢的教學方法較為適合活潑好動的小朋友，所以我建議你應比小朋友轉校。至於你話學費貴$4930係唔係全日價錢，其實九龍塘d學校全日學費都係唔差得幾多，貴過佢到大有其在。如你要過海返學便要加埋交通費在內，過海校車一定要過千元，但好似男小拔和喇沙小學都係
津貼小學黎喎，你一定要搬屋至得啦。

其實香港區都有好多好band1學校，幼稚園有聖保祿、(有直屬小學及中學)玫瑰崗、救恩、另其他小學有st.joesph、英皇、高主教、st.paul co-ed等全都有中學back up的。

Don't worry,唔係樂基中文程度太淺,其實3間都係好學校,真係各有所長,各有特色,我都只係聽人講,我聽一位教師朋友講,Keen Mind中文程度頗高,同Kentville近似,升小學會較容易pick up.

仲有Keen Mind的背景相信你都有聽講過,雖然津校靠lucky draw, but自行收生D borderline cases (20points),估計有DD著數,玩俾面派對.kae (another bk mum below)都有講過入La Salle & Maryknoll大D機會,but this is "純屬推測" nobody really know whether it is true,不過呢個社會靠關係,我一D都唔surprise.

不過everyone's expectations are different,有D parents
希望小朋友kindergarten輕鬆D,有D parents就想小朋友小學根基好D,that's why to choose between the 3 schools 係沒有right or wrong. Do you agree?

Hi, Danielboy,

I have not made up my mind to choose St. Catherine's or HKPS for my girl who will be in K1 in September. I am inclined to pick the international stream of HKPS which consists of 50% English and 50% Mandarin as teaching media. Do you know if there is Mandarin class at St. Catherine's? It seems to me that English is the main teaching medium at St. Catherine's.

其實我老公一直都同國語同桐桐傾計, 所以我/老公都想俾桐桐讀有國語學既 KG. (我老公屋企講國語&廣東話)

而公公好樂意幫我手,大家輪住車桐桐返學, 大家都無甘辛苦 !
我屋企 drive 車去樂基, 正常 7-8 分鐘就到 ! 好近 !

Not sure whether my information is right or not. Anyone is welcomed to correct me if I am wrong.
As far as I know, the teaching medium at St. Catherine's is 50% English & 50% Cantonese. Mandarin will also be taught a few times during the week but the bearing is definitely less than that of HKPS (International Stream). For HKPS (International Stream), Cantonese will NOT be used at all.

Thank you. I think I need to go to St. Catherine's and HKPS again before I make the decision. I will try to talk to the teachers and get more information. Last December, when I attended the interview with my girl, it was so rush that I could not get a chance to look around the school layout of St. Catherine's. I will call them up to see if I can get a visit in St. Catherine's and HKPS.

keen mind 的中英數程度除了考私校沒有問題外.

還有很注重普通話, 經常有機會給小朋友出外表演, 增加膽量及自信,每1-2個月都有機會去一些商場, 社區會堂, 大會堂作親子表演唱歌.

學校也有很多課外活動及興趣班,給小朋友增廣建聞, 家長也可以參加學校的義工活動, 因此家長很多機會接觸了解學校.

學校除了程度可以銜接小一外, 也給小朋友很多課外活動, 令小朋友覺得返學很開心, 從遊戲中學習,是真正活動式教學, 用不同的角度重覆又重覆去加強小朋友的記憶.

每天接個女放學時見佢很開心的滔滔不絕講學校的情形,又見到佢很多常識,規矩都會說是學校教的,而且學校是與時並進

就算希望讀津校，都要考番幾間私校做backup嘛。U know，而家校長分取消左，間間幼稚院去都一樣；靠攪珠，就要講彩數哪！唔考番幾間私校打底，到時好大壓力喎！

st. catherine每年都有唔少學生考到D有名私校，有業績嘛，可信D！D小朋友都讀得好開心架（我個仔係果到畢業，而家讀宣道--攪珠失敗！）我個friend 個仔本來讀劍鳴BB班，K.1轉左過去，佢話以前己經讀得好開心，而家仲更加開心添。

st. catherine：外籍老師每天一小時受課，當中包括story telling, discussion, groping...... K.2 & K.3 附加 phonic。writing由本地老師教導。

在我印象中，老師都是很細心的。

記得有一次… 我接放學時，老師跟我說，小兒把壁布上別的小孩的畫撕破了。她還跟我說千萬不要
