聖士提反女子(St. Stephen Girls)

Hi,

Anyone of you know about this kindergarten? I know that it does not have K1.  Therefore, I may apply its' K2 for my daughters.  Now, can anyone of you can share with me about its strenghts & weaks with many thanks!!!

Hi KwokYi,

bk 係好少 St. Stephen Girls 的媽媽上來的,所以我都好少資訊.
我囡囡剛剛係St. Stephen Girls 讀 K3, 不過佢係 K3 先至入去讀,開咗學三個月,我囡囡好開心而且好鐘意個班主任,校長同環境.而且因為功課真係好少好少,所以我囡囡就更加鐘意.
但係讀完 K3之後,係唔可以直升上小學的,你要考慮一下.

Thanks for your reply.
Could you tell me which kindergarten your daughter attended before?  What are the reason you changed it for her? Are you try to stay at St. Stephen for primary section?

For my case, St. Clare is already accepted my girl for K1 studend.  And I will also apply Sacred Heart and St. Paul for her.  But I think we just 陪襯。 On the other hand, I heard the St. Stephen Girls is quite good and also its 排名 is quite high in HK.  Moreover, I also has one young daughter.  Therefore, if it is good and no need to pay for school fee, it may be a good choice for me. I think if I can be a St. Stephen Kindergarten student, it may better chance to get in from "knock on the door". Would it be the case?

Do you remember what questions did the teacher ask during interview??

Hi KwokYi,
其實我都係今年九月先至入讀K3,我都唔係太清楚,唔知幫唔幫到你.但你囡囡下年九月入讀 K1定係K2呢??因為St. Stephen Girls係無 K1 的.
面試時大約係
1. 你點解要揀我哋間學校呀 (問媽咪)
2. 你平時係屋企誰人跟你玩呀 (問小朋友)
3. 你會同屋企人去边度玩呀 (問小朋友)
4. 俾張圖畫小朋友睇,在問佢問題
大約差唔多,希望幫到你啦.
而小學就因為唔係一條龍關係,所以唔一定入得番本校,所以我都煩緊,自行嗰關我就係陪跑了,而家都等大抽獎.
就算"叩門"機會都唔高,因為要等其他人唔讀先至有一兩個位,除非自己個囡好 smart 又得個老師同校長鐘意, 如果唔係的話都幾難架!

我係剛搬到香港區的所以先轉到St. Stephen Girls,之前我同我囡囡都考過我幾間幼稚園,其實有好多都好好,其中玫瑰崗我都好鐘意,因為佢哋帶我周圍參觀,我見到環境又好,地方又大,不過因為學費太貴,所以我最後連留位費$550都無要到就揀咗另一間了.
而去St. Stephen Girls面試時,佢哋都無帶我周圍參觀,我揀佢哋係因為我老公個妹妹係喺St. Stephen Girls畢業的,佢話間學校非常之好,而且我囡囡相當男仔頭,希望可以改變到佢,所以我最後就揀咗St. Stephen Girls了. :

Does it have many homework and any test?  Is it difficult?  I heard someone said that the English standard at this school is not good enough, do you agree?

其實 St. Stephen Girls 係無乜家課架,大部份佢哋都會係學校完成,每星期都會派番堂課俾同學攞番屋企,而家課就每星期只得一次,有時重無家課架,所以我囡囡會好開心.因為返到屋企都無乜壓力.(但間中我會俾少少 worksheet 佢做吓)
雖然係無乜家課,但係我囡囡都學咗好多野返來,好多時放學佢都好開心咁問我問題,(當然係嗰日老師教咗佢啦)所以我都覺得幾好.
而英文方面, St. Stephen Girls 都有外籍老師,每星期都有一堂.
