女兒今年小一有二級琴，但多次向我說她不想學琴，我看主要是她不想練琴，應讓她放棄嗎？

discuss with her teacher and maybe let your girl have a month break. talk to her again then.

如果你想她學琴, 可以減慢少少來學, 暫時學得輕鬆少少, 不建議暫時停學, 因為一停下來就會生疏! 所以一係就學, 一係就唔學! 而且建議同教琴老師商討, 她們有很多這種經驗!

Thank you for all your response.

As many parents know, it is good to the kids if they learn the paino. In the contrary, people always say do not force the kids to do the thing which they do not like. It is really difficult to decide.

Did you try any incentive for your kid?
-Give marks to him after practising piano. If accumulate to certain marks, you will buy him a present / give him some snacks / allow him to watch TV / or bring him to somewhere to play in the weekend.
It really works to my kids.

If it doesn't work, you may discuss with your piano teacher and ask for more comment.

I got the same problem!

My daughter likes to learn piano but she is not willing to practice the piano. This is problem. If you do not practice, there will have no improvement! I also want to give up!

I now give my daughter four months to make the decision i.e. to continue or not to continue!

Practice is the important part of learning. Boosting and praises are the catalysis of practice. Let the piano teacher knows the kid's 'immatured' wish to try some other less demanding songs to build up confidence and interest in practice. Adjust your own expection of the kid's achievement if necessary.

小朋友不想學琴, 有時是同教琴的老師有關的, 我的小朋友因為去了聯合道某琴行學了一後時期后, 令她對彈琴產生了極度的厭惡, 所以, 慎選老師, 不要學我這麼后悔, 以為難得有個"嚴"的老師, 點知, 經老師不斷駡后, 現在, 后果真不知好何收拾.

其實學樂器多數有個"樽頸位", 學學下會覺得悶, 唔想彈, 而且已經有d基本功, 彈d自己鐘意既歌玩下玩下已經覺得夠. 不過只要過到個"樽頸位"又會慢慢鐘意返. 所以唔駛咁快放棄既, 試下拖慢d嚟學, 唔好為左考試嚟學, 小朋友可能無咁大壓力.

2. Did you ask your child why? Too hard......?
3. She likes 學琴 but doesn't like 練琴?

我想問問你們的小朋友是在放學後去學, 還是星期6/日去學呢.

頭先亞女話放學去學琴好攰, 想唔學, 但佢又話鍾意彈琴, 我都好擔心佢話唔鍾意, 好彩佢嘅理由係好攰, 但我問她其它課外活動呢, 佢話都有少少攰. GRANDMA揍佢學琴前都會帶小小茶點比佢食咗先學, 如果明年升小一返全日都唔知點算.

My sons learn piano at home, flexible time to be arranged by teacher. However, they will practise piano daily in regular basis.

其實我覺得如果屋企無琴係會容易放棄!!我個囡剛剛上小一, 星期一至五要返學, 放左學又要做功課, 我同我老公又要返工, 根本就無時間同佢去練琴!!淨係得星期六學琴之前早d去琴行練下就上課, 所以時間耐左, 佢已經話唔想學啦!! 我都想佢學, 因為老師話佢有天份, 佢又真係幾好 !! 不過最終都係想佢自己決定, 唔想迫佢, 令佢討厭左重難收科

建議你可留意佢學ｄ咩琴書，有ｄ書的確會令人失去學習的興趣！
多ｄ以樂曲為本的書，可增加小朋友對欣賞音樂的興趣和啟發，若大部分書均以側重操練式練指法的，實在沉悶，應有一個平衡，才會令小孩重拾興趣！
我妹妹便是一個好例子，老師覺得她技巧欠佳，便不斷要她操練指法，終使她失去所有對音樂的興趣，雖學了多年，現時掂都唔掂個琴！

真是一個好的老師可以引導及誘發小朋友的興趣的, 我就是錯找了在聯合道一間琴行的"嚴師", 可能我的小朋友都會像您的妹妹一樣, 不會再學琴的, 真是一個錯誤的開始, 令我后悔及抱憾, 家長最痛心是這個結果.

I wonder whether it is easy to find a good piano teacher like you.

I take pumbaa's advice to give my daugher incentive. It seems that she is quite satisfied with the "deal". Hope it can work and has no negative feedback la.
