My son had a star in Chinese and a tick in English.   

What's the meaning?

Hi all,

Similar to masansan, my son got a "star" in the box "laygroup & Chinese" and got a "tick" in "English" box.

My son said the teached told them that "tick" means good?! Believe it or not ??

As per my son, he said the question is simiple but no mandarin.  Anyone know why some with mandarin and some without?

My son said the teacher ask his name both in English & mandarin?

My son said there were 2 group and 3 children in a group. In the same time, 1 group was in English and another one was in Chinese/Madarin.

For English: 1) ask "What is your name?) 2) show cards and ask childred to say what it is (apple, banana, computer...)

For Madarin: 1)你叫什麼名? 2)你喜歡吃什麼?

And play some games.

But my son's answer were not in fully sentences.

my son said, the chinese teacher ask him the name and age in mandarin; the english teacher ask him the same questions too, also the teacher  is drawing some pictures and ask the childrens what's that : as per my son said, it should be some fruit..........my boy said the teacher say he is doing very well and take a good job........ but my boy didn't got any star, only have 2 teacher's signature on the label !!!!!!!

Can you ask your friend for more details?
I saw most (90% or above) of the children with a sticker with signature in 'Chinese & Playgroup' box & also another signature in "English" box.

Very few of them have a Tick in either 'Chinese & playgroup' box OR 'English' box.

For me, i didn't saw a kid with a Star on it......(in my own opinon, i think a Star means pass)

If there are only two singnatures on the labels without a mark, that means your kid is fail.  If they have a star mark on the label, that means they pass that part.

My children have two signature with 'Chinese & Playgroup'box and one signature with "English" box in labels, but didn't any star mark on the label, that means my kid pass or fail?

The English teacher asked my girl her birthday and she could not answer.       For other parts, the format is smiliar to what other mami's descriptions.

I only get two signatures on the boxes but no star, trust that my girl may have failed.  
       .  

Since I do not have alternative, so I have to wait for the lucky draw.

My daughter got one tick in the playground and Chinese session and one signature in the English session.  Does it meant that she was succeed in the first part?

我今年聽完小一簡介會,都好心儀這間學校, 小朋友現k2, 但想早點準備 :
(1) 個profile 連埋application一齊交，咁in 時仲駛唔駛攞份orginaial 去, in 時多唔多睇仔女d課外活動, 成績, 獎之類 ...
(2) 大家in 時, 覺得佢地care d 咩 ? 仔女當時表演 ? 家長表演 ? d cert  ? ...
(3) 係咪一定要兩公婆一齊 去 ?
(4) 會否有d 問題專門問老公, 有d 問老婆 ?
(5) 通常有2 round, 如第一round 唔收, 係咪第2 round 可
重新申請再in, 最後 才叩門 ?
因見in 好似好難咁, 想問多d 意見, 不好意思

聖保羅男女小一 16人爭1位　合併後學額不變 面試宜幽默  
  
　　小一自行收生進行得如火如荼，今年由兩間傳統名校合併的「聖保羅男女中學附屬小學」，收生名額不變，只有120個，但在加強科研和語文訓練下，校方預計今年報名人數可突破2,000大關。該校校長還向家長「教路」，指小朋友面試時應有幽默感及保持笑容，切忌矯揉造作。

　　除了名牌小學，多間私立小學均有直屬或聯繫中學，部分不乏津貼的英中名校，家長為子女揀選小學時，可作多方面的考慮。

學費4.8萬 中小學「一條龍」

　　小一自行收生階段，家長可以不受校網限制，選擇一間官立或津貼小學外，更可同時向多間私立及直資學校申請小一學位。剛完成合併的「聖保羅男女中學附屬小學」，學費高達4.8萬元，但由於有聖保羅男女中學作為「一條龍」中學，一直大受家長歡迎，在小一自行收生開始，首3日已派出500份申請表。

　　聖保羅男女中學附屬小學校長李端儀表示，每位交表的學童都有面試機會，但她提醒，學童面試時除了要注意坐姿和禮貌，更要談吐自然，誠實，避免因為參加了面試班而「露出馬腳」，更應保持笑容，最好有幽默感。李端儀還特別提醒家長：「面試前一刻，家長不要對子女千叮萬囑，影響他們表現。」

教師麻省進修 增外籍助教

　　今年由堅尼地道和麥當勞道聖保羅男女小學合併的「聖保羅男女中學附屬小學」，今年參加美國麻省理工大學的科研計劃，派出兩名教師前往進修3個月，藉此提升高小學生的創作力，又合共聘請外籍和普通話助教各4名，加強學童的語文能力。新計劃下，李端儀預計今年會有超過2,000人競爭120個小一學額。

　　本港多間私立小學均有直屬或聯繫中學，當中不乏津貼英中（詳見表），以港島區為例，香港真光中學小學部及高主教中學小學部，雖然是私立，但其直屬中學不但是傳統英中，更是津貼模式，可為家長減輕學費負擔。

阿囝冇 tick 又冇 star, 係咪即係打定輸數   anyway, 佢講o既我已經覺得佢都做得幾好, 所以收就 bonus, 唔收咪繼續努力    

o個日見到個 daddy 唔知因乜事o係家長面見室附近鬧到個囡喊, so...唔好俾咁大壓力自己 & 小朋友

interview果日, 校長話都唔知收幾多學生, 視乎學生的質素而定, 如果質素唔夠好, 就唔會收晒d學生, 才會有下一round, 所以宜家都未定咁話喎!!

Hi,

一位媽媽說:佢朋友的 no. 是６００尾，以她估計有７００人　ａｐｐｌｙ．　所以都幾緊張.   
Besides, only 2 sticks on my boy's label.　What is the meaning?????
