St Catherine 學生入私立/直資, 有優先?

My girl  is also studied in SC in the past 3 years.
I never heard that SC has the prize 1 to 3.
But this school has some competitions eg. the story telling. May be your friend's boy got the prize from it.

If we are in the same P.1B, then our girls were from the same KG. Right

Maybe this boy's parent is not lying.  Simply her boy got all ticks in the first column, therefore assumes he is the first.  But I want to say, each class has several such kids.  Does that mean there are few no. 1 in the same class?  When expanding this, can we say there are 100 no. 1 in SC, assuming 4 from each K3 class?

有可能是 Kentville 而不是 SC，因 Kentville 考頭幾名的是會知道名次，可能tiffany誤會了。

以我所知，它們是沒有分數的，真的只有A,B,C,D。算不算流言，大家自行考證好了！

人家滿分才得90,PLK kinder 的則100, 怎會沒分別呢！

至於究竟有幾多 TAYSF 的入到TSL，最清楚的應是TAYSF 的家長。何不說說你收到的風，比較一下？(當然TSL 的家長都知！)

promotion lor, cos not many parents know how to download from the form, and many parents do not have time to do research.

A fact is that even today in 2004, some families do not possess a computer at home, some do not have internet account.

Besides SC, Kentville also has these forms simply because both schools total more than 1000 students.

even government schools also distributed promotion leaflets to St. Cat even their admission is based on point system and allocation.

Admission really depends on interview/test performance.  I know a boy from Tuen Mun's common KG but got SFA cos he passed the written test and lined up for the application form by himself, while quite a number of st Cat & Kentville kids fail both schools even they got the forms via school simply due to poor performance.  

So, there is no need to complicate the matter.  Just for administrative convienence.[/quote]

Maybe Kentville does not want to offer this service in recent years, cos my 2 cousins received some forms when they were K3 some years ago.

雖然 SC 有 TSL 表取, 但我肯定SC沒有優勢, 小女上年成功考取, 但她一大堆同學中沒有一個能考取 TSL, 可笑的是，照推計在 SC 裹, 入DGS 的成功率分分鐘比入 TSL 的成功率高, 原因有二：1. DGS 喜歡收一些家庭背景比較好的學生, 而在 SC 裹讀的學生有不少都是來自家庭背景比較好及父母學歷比較高的家庭, 如何兆瑋. 據知平均每班都有一個學生可以入到 DGS. 2. 讀保良局屬下之幼稚園入 TSL 確實是有優勢的, 大家可以入 TSL 的網頁細閱, 他們有自己的 Marking scheme, 如果小朋友是來自保良局的幼稚園有20分(大概, 我忘記是否), 如小朋友的哥哥姐姐是舊生的話, 又有10分(大概, 請各位check check), 父母是員工的話, 小朋友又會再加分, 所以他們收回自己屬下的小朋友已佔了大比數, 一個外來沒有關係的學生, 在七除八扣的情況下, 所剩餘可取的分數只有六十分.

如果話St Catherine 入DGJS有優勢，咁CCKG又話係DGJS的心儀之選(有些更說是必收生),耀中又怎樣算，仲有舊生的子女呢？有姊姊在校呢？已取獎項的学生又怎樣算！仲未計香港區的名幼稚園！DGJS一年收幾多學生？！大家心裡有數！St Catherine 一年出產幾多學生，大家亦心裡有數！以%計算，大家亦心裡有數！
不如正面些去eqip.自己，只要不是派位論彩數的話，好好地比d信心自己去打這場 '面試' 杖！况且派位的第三輪就不是看彩數而是看實力了。

為什麽還要執迷某些論點上，只要你的子女不是 '必收生' ，做父母的就只好在各方面去支持小朋友在數分鐘內好好去表現自己，連自己都冇信心怎會成功！ Don't give excuse！

即使我話TSL收晒保良局學生，大不了就是不考TSL，但你都要面對其他直資或私校的interview，假若你是會計師別人可能是精算師；假若你是香港區總裁，別人可是董事局成員......無止境的！！！

假若之前St Catherine的男孩一事，我是聽錯so I say sorry for it. 我冇打算去問番別人，何必呢！
我留言只不過想講出我所知的去豉勵大家，多給小朋友一點信心，不要太大壓力。That's all！

my daughter studied SC last year. I found that many SC stuents cannot be accepted in 1st round interview and they only  be accepted in 2nd/3rd round. In fact, onjy English is good, but Chinese and English is too simple.

應該這樣說，相對普通幼稚園學生，SC 或其他名牌幼稚園去考私立/直資有優勢，因為即使表現一樣，學校照理都會選在名牌幼稚園畢業的小朋友。問題是如果你們指的私立/直資都是有名氣的，例如 DB, DGS, TSL，蔡繼有，那就是名牌幼稚園之爭，畢竟不只 SC，仲有根德園 ......

算吧啦，其實比仔女去讀超過 $3000 學費但返半日的名牌幼稚園，你們心目中都知道將會替自己的子女選那一些小學，只是不想之前的投資 (3 年幼稚園的學費，校車費，和其他培訓貴) 這樣多， 但最後卻未能入讀一間沒有名氣的私立/直資學校。

焦可否認名校學生的學術水平是比普通幼稚園/幼兒園高，但他們是否真心鍾意讀書我就不知道，

I have heard from a friend of mine why more CCKG girls are accepted in DGJS - the reason is that most of CCKG girls are from same religion as DGJS, and many of them are older girls (not born in Sept to December), therefore their chances to DGJS are greater.

My daughter also studies in St Catherine K 3 this year, I do not find that my girl has much advantages.

Anyway, every year there are more or less 1000 St Catherine children graduated! There are also other famous kindergarten in Hong Kong. I think all the places added from famous 私立/直資 primary would not be enough to take over all the kids from all the so call "famous kindergartens".
I think most of the schools would count on  the kids' performance in interviews as well as religion.

There are sure smart kids in every kindergarten!

哈哈, 何以見得? 恕我直言, 本人就是出身於一等一名校 (中學), 看不見"學術水平"是比普通學校高o "學術水平"是用於評定大學在學術上的成就 not 幼稚園/幼兒園o但無可否認學習風氣是比"普通"學校好o到頭來出來做事沒有人會有興趣你讀那中學, 只看你 O and A - Level 成績, 當然你讀那大學and成績亦十分重要 (如有)o
