Most 寶山 kids only want to go to co-ed.
Other 名校 sometimes don't like them as they are only using these 名校 as back-up.
Last year, St Paul Boys offered at least 8 寶山 boys a place, but in the end, only one joined the school.
So if you are from 寶山 & you have connection with co-ed (siblings or old boys), other 名校 sometimes may be reluctant to offer you a place, knowing that you would reject them if you get an offer from co-ed.
I guess it would be a similar situation with CCKG
girls & DGS.
