只係香港有不少人職稱是工程師，但係沒有專業資格，所以HKlE才會鼓勵真正專業會員在名片名字之前加上Ir，作分別，在下面標示MHKIE, FHKIE。

如果冇嘅話，就不是香港認可嘅工程師。但也有工程師用海外資格轉成香港專業資格。不過，很多家長係唔清楚，所以以為什麼水泡科。

亦有不少人認為冇Scheme A，就註冊唔到，而事實上係可以，因為有不同途徑可以代替Scheme A，很多一知半解又唔肯去問，自己喪失機會。

補充多一點，如果冇前途、「錢途」，國內本科工程畢業生在疫情之前，特別過來香港讀Engineering Master taught program 補返國內工程科的缺欠（短板）。然後再駁腳去海外升學或就業。

做IT最弊係明知離開香港會好好多，但冇勇氣衝出去試吓。

去年底阿仔決定出去闖，做咗好多research 及準備，而去的地方及事業發展跟他的理想接軌。他作了某程度的最坏打算，最后係喜出望外，机会，工种，职级，晋升，人工整体都比香港优厚，是一个正面例子。

我回应不是讲lT，我是回应年轻人去不同地方闯，包括大湾区及北京上海。

我们家觉得IT係有用的enabler，其他domain expert更加重要，不过冇乜人听入耳。阿仔係sell expertise ，program and modelling 係reference or operative 一些概念。

我在隔離酒店瞓覺時間多咗，醒咗見到你的問題，很有意思，我嘗試解答一下。

香港五大都有工程學院，每間有多有少，最多係港大中大約360人一年，其他三大都三百出頭，平均當340計算，單學士學位每年約1700個畢業生。碩士學位我冇資料，我當每間開5班，每班30人，就750人，近年封關，我相信會跌咗好多國內學生過嚟補taught master。最多會係2500人左右一年。

Fellows and Corporate Members約3000 +30000，總數33000左右。最近在Qualification and Membership Board 發現多咗人reinstate番資格，我推算係因為移民潮關係，2021-2022年度這類多咗幾倍，他們都知道在香港搵食唔係必須要有專業資格，但係海外就要有，互認都要有香港資格。

HKlE還有Associate Members, Graduate Members and Student Members.

香港在大專教育界的教授們，絶大部分有專業資格，但只係小部分有HKIE，他們持有海外專業格例如IEEE。他們唔轉HKIE，因為不一定長遠留在香港，二來做Professional Assessment 如果肥咗，會好瘀㗎。十年前HKIE加多咗Research Route，但申請嘅不是增加很多。

香港係好有趣的地方，很多人覺得civil吃香，因為很多工程項目及法定文件要RPE 簽名畫押，點解 civil 特別要咁做？係因為叻？抑或以前亂咁簽名，冇人簽名，冇人負責之下搞出豆腐渣工程，危樓，短椿，引致人命傷亡及倒塌。邊個簽名，將來有問題就告邊個！

政府，公營機構，及公用事業及法例指定要有RPE 簽名的行業就會多咗人有專業資格。

我上面帖講咗香港用工程師職稱嘅係不需要有專業資格，這是個歷史遺留落嚟嘅問題，所以很多大中小公司的工程師，高工，經理至董事都不一定要有專業資格，這是現實。作為一個公司的工程經理，人工好參差，月薪由几萬到十幾萬。

你這個是良好意願，現實不是這樣的。

其實個排名跟研究有多些直接關係，但對學士學位的教學質素係好間接，選學士學位我個人就會略過。

習非成是！

所以beastbistro已經講得好白，最top果二十間老字號，可以乜都唔使做，大把人俾佢揀，后面果d知道家長及學生大多是羊群，所以用顧問，玩數字遊戲，鑽空子，無所不用其極，為了排前一兩位。兩者入學多兩分，畢業之後又如何？Who care?

我講出點解學士，master taught program 無謂跟，到研究院分學院排名就有指標性。不過香港大學生絕大部份唔會讀研究院！

你思前想后可以跟，可以晤跟，你有free will 作決定。不用太在意，平常心就可以啦！

你有機會去排名機構睇吓佢哋嘅methodology，是否你所想的？

你又要留意排名機構的附屬顧問公司做什麼服務，你再比較不同機構的methodology分別及大學的上上落落頻率，幾得意㗎！

講開Professinal membership, MIEEE 跟MIET都不算有專業資格。我識嘅人好多都係IET Charter ...

你可以上網HKIE自己睇connections 有關reciprocal recognition agreements，那些承認的機構。

就算有都要申請。你提到nomination 要Fellow 簽名，這是一個障礙，有見及此今個年度通過咗一個mentorship program 幫有志申請corporate memberships 嘅人更明白過流程。初步Civil及Electrical disciplines作先導計劃。

關於英文寫作能力都有新的改變，如果你有valid嘅IELTS成績，可以代替essay筆試，個別discipline 不接受 IELTS，一定要考，合格分數線唔記得係6定係6.5，對寫作能力有要求的。

工程學科係一個很好的訓練，但被社會玩殘咗，曲解咗，忽略咗，如果冇之話對社會的影響力！

我記得你最初都唔係好瞭解我點解咁講，我們討論幾次之後，你瞭解我點解咁講。

事實上是阿仔以前提醒我他的看法。當年我知道他喜歡研究電腦，但他當時冇興趣以電腦作職業，因為他認知係某些公司電腦部係阿四。他也是高級IT 狗教佢走更專業，要全世界承認果種專業，不用考來考去。

他主修計量金融，然後副修及自學。

你細仔快d搵到個重點，條路會好行d。
