有些人說year 1的gpa是不會用來 ...
沒有參考資料在手，簡單d答。

中大有兩組GPA，一組是科科都計，主修、副修、閒科都包括在內 － cumulative GPA，用作校內評核，作為Exchange, Intern ，獎學金等等，作優先排序之用。

另一組GPA只計主修的科目 － Major GPA, 這個只用來計算畢業 Honour 的等級。

所以你的了解，大致正確。

如果某些學科，第一年冇主修科目，有機會全部不計入 Major GPA.

Thanks for your information! 那麼中大比科大好少少，year 1不是所有科都計hon 。 ...
Depends on your or his objective of university education, Hon vs whole person development.

I paid the tuition fee of first semester of HKUST before my son opted for CUHK.
