有些人說year 1的gpa是不會用來 ...

沒有參考資料在手，簡單d答。

中大有兩組GPA，一組是科科都計，主修、副修、閒科都包括在內－ cumulative GPA，用作校內評核，作為Exchange, Intern ，獎學金等等，作優先排序之用。

另一組GPA只計主修的科目－ Major GPA, 這個只用來計算畢業 Honour 的等級。

所以你的了解，大致正確。

如果某些學科，第一年冇主修科目，有機會全部不計入 Major GPA.

Thanks for your information! 那麼中大比科大好少少，year 1不是所有科都計hon 。科大就由頭chur 到final year, 科科都不可鬆懈！
其實那些資料可在那裏找到？我找了很久也找不到。

Depends on your or his objective of university education, Hon vs whole person development.

I paid the tuition fee of first semester of HKUST before my son opted for CUHK.
