Hi, Any parent can have some ideas? Which school is better? my kids are studying in QBS and going to have an interview in GSIS soon, QBS is a good school, I just not sure about GSIS, I just heard this school is good in academic, but not sure overall which school is better. I want to know more about GSIS, but not too many information I can get here.

My advice is go for the interview and make your decision after a place is offered. I have friends who put kids in GSIS. It's a demanding school. Students may be advised to have tuition out of school in order to catch up. As long as my kid is happy with the current school, we have decided to apply for deferral.

其實有不少個案是由QBS轉去GSIS, 但相反的個案卻未聽過。

當然啦！兩間學校academic要求都唔同。

GSIS 中文比較少，比ESF一般的中文程度更少。就是這個原因我小學前都不考慮GSIS了（雖然都未必會收）

如小朋友自己覺Qbs D課程較為淺,老師亦投訴小朋友程度比較高很多所以覺很悶冇心機上堂,是否GSIS會較合適?不過GSIS好似得兩班,要轉亦要看機會,發吓夢也好:)其實Qbs 我自己已好滿足,但若真的收了真的魚與熊掌. 她們在Qbs 也主要靠家中教中文,所以學校有冇中文也沒所謂,只聴説GSIS家庭非常富裕,我們中產在QBS真的冇壓力,怕GSIS又另一個世界,另一方面,QBS 學費有資助至畢業,現在只要7000左右,兩個女連debenture也不小,若GSIS真的好好,也沒所謂,但其實我對學校認識不太多,家長若是你們,你會否轉? 其實沒有對錯的,希望大家開心一起分享吓,謝謝大家!

GSIS is good, no need to worry, but will they teach more advanced stuff? I think most IS kinders are just playing in school and don't expect them to teach anything difficult.

But isn't it most IS are streaming the students according to their capabilities? I heard for eg, a year 3 boy who excels in maths is already doing year 9 maths with support from senior students in a ESF school.

Hi, when should apply GSIS Y1? since born or 1 year before academic year?
