　　非聯招本地學額競爭加劇，香港大學今年接獲逾七千份申請，較去年增逾一成七。其中國際預科文憑（IB）接獲近一千七百份本地及國際申請，平均七人爭一位。另外，港大今年成功招攬四男五女IB狀元。港大收生及國際生交流事務總監表示，學生獲取三十分才會獲考慮，但有建築系學生指，當年考獲四十多分才勉強獲取錄。

　　今年全球誕生一百零八名IB狀元，港大迄今成功取錄其中九名，包括三名本地生，其餘來自內地、印度及馬來西亞，分別入讀醫科、理學士、會計及金融等。港大收生及國際生交流事務總監史秉士對今年收生感滿意，又指非聯招本地生學額競爭激烈，接獲申請逾七千份，較去年增一成七，相比之下，聯招申請人數僅多三個百分點。

　　IB學校部營運總監Siva Kumari指，亞洲的IB發展快速，過去五年，香港的IB學校增加七成三，有四十三所中小學，預計未來會有更多學校開設IB課程，學額競爭難免增加。去年IB考獲四十三分的馮嘉怡，成功入讀港大建築學，她認為IB課程與大學學習模式相近，但直言「我都是勉強入到港大」。

　　另外，港大本周一連五天舉辦IB國際學生論壇，吸引一百五十名來自世界各地的IB學生參與，邀請業界人士及學者共同討論「如何有責任地參與網絡世界」。

睇番港大網頁，2012年收了超過24,000份NON-JUPAS申請，但收NON-JUPAS學生在2011年只得900人，真是競爭很大！

24000 or 2400 ?

Wa, 24000, it's a lot. May be most are come from HD or AD.

港大真的是各方狀元集中地, 競爭應該都好大

Non Jupas 24000人，還要是港人，可能是在學的副學士生，可能是在外地的香港生，香港一年出生均8萬至10萬人，已有7萬至8萬讀dse,何來那麼多non Jupas.

Non Jupas的身份是香港人，今年7000份申請到是有可能，ib1600左右，也正常。因前兩年有數字的是：香港有ib生1200左右參加當年ib考試。

我覺得hku 個 24000 non-jupas 數係包曬本地及外地申請人. 有大陸、台灣、韓國、新加坡、馬來西亞、日本、印巴、香港 IB、GCEAL、副學士、HD同埋香港人係英國考GCE.

不用估，我們眼大睇過籠，文中講咗：＂非聯招本地學額競爭加劇，香港大學今年接獲逾七千份申請，較去年增逾一成七。＂七千份合理。

只是CPU引述24000，我們可能走錯方向，我反而覺得這數字似JUPAS多些！

讀IB果日就已經知，阿仔讀dse的話，入U應該較易。
但都係揀IB.

non-jupas should be hk student, " students who don't need a visa to study in hk".
so they are not "non-local". they are not those in malaise, india, unless their family already moved to those countries.

come on, each year's birth rate of Hong Kong is well known , ranged from 50,000 in 2003 to 100,000 in the early 90s, most are already in local schools-- 70,000 to 80,000 taking DSE.

how come there could be 24,000, unless students study in other university all come to try their luck.

If u follow the figures about non-jupas admission, you will know how EDB classify applicants. They include both locals and non-locals.
