Keen Mind, S.C. and KV all accepted my kid, how to choose?

My daughter is in N1 at Keen Mind. She got accepted by St. Catherine'sand KV (all in A.M. class). It's hard for me to make a decision forstaying in KM or taking S.C. or KV instead.

She is very shy and quiet (not so active and talkative). She is happyto go to school at KM now. I heard KV is good for the Chinese subjectand my daughter's Chinese is bad. However, I am afraid the school isvery strict and kids won't have fun at all. I am also afraid theChinese in KV is too hard for my daughter and she can't catch up thatgood since her foundation of Chinese is quite bad. And finally shemight need to change another school again.

Is there any mom's kids studying in either KM, S.C. or KV before ornow? Could you please share anything with me or give me some comments?Thank you!

I think you'd better not choose KV as your sayings have already revealed your preference.

KM is not bad at all, so stay there is a good choice provided with ur girl's personality.

其實小朋友在KM開心，就比她繼續，開心的童年是好重要，今年我仔仔考小一，都見到好多KM的小朋友有2nd Interveiw，所以在現在留一間不需要再想，會開心點。

To me these three are similar except you got accepted by spk,   聖公會中環 etc . If not don't have to switch in between

家長要做嘅就係幫小朋友搵人間合適嘅學校，既然佢讀得開心而間學校又唔差嘅，何必要佢咁辛苦重新適應呢??

My daughter actually did very good interview in KV. I was with her on the interview day, with my encourage, she answered everything (she understand Cantonese but answered back in English) and followed the teacher's instruction and even sang the song "Twinkle twinkle little star" at last.

On the first part of interview in S.C. when playing the "Lego", my husband told me that she cried because the teacher asked him to stand behind my daughter, and she couldn't see dad then start crying. However, for the second part, she did the interview good with the teacher as well and very co-operated. When the interview almost finish, she even said, "Is it finish?" And the teacher was laugh!

Actually my husband like S.C. more, but I like Keen Mind or KV more. It's really headache for me!!

simple:
if your ranking is KV>KM>SC
his ranking is SC> KM>KV
then, stay in KM

My husband thinks S.C. is more "well known".  She will have better chance to go to good primary schools. Besides, he is worried the teachers in KV are too strict and there will be a load of homework everyday.  We all need to work full time and we might have no time to teach her and follow her homework.  

I like KV more because I want her to have better Chinese training there.  I think she will have less problems on her homework, quiz and exam when she is in Primary school.  She is supposed to get used to it. On the other hand, I am afraid she will have more pressure in KV as her Chinese is bad.

**Does anyone know which primary school the graduates of each school SC, KV and KM usually go to?  Some statistics or live examples would be good to share with everyone.

for KM, go to it's website
there's no data for KV/SC, but u can try to read the thread in 小一選校.. try to find related thread for last year.
agreed with 小克, KM's P1 allocation is good.   It can also give you what you what from KV.
