HKIS waiting

Just got HKIS letter today. They said that my daughter met all the necessary requirements, but the space was limited. We need to wait for available space till July 31 for the August 2010 semester or early Dec for the second semester in Jan 2011. Does this mean that we fail for the Reception 1? Any other parents applied to HKIS and got acceptance or similar situation?

It just means that they want to accept your daughter but they don't have enough space. this is pretty common in Hong Kong. When they have space for your daughter, they will mail you again and you can enrol her into the school. But no one knows when they are gonna mail you or are they ever gonna mail you. So you should find another school first I would suggest.

Thanks. We also asked HKIS similar question. They answered that this year had lots of children with priority (whose have brothers/sisters studying in HKIS or debentures). Thus, the chance for my daughter is low. We needs to consider other IS.
