I was told that a profolio is needed when applying for Y1. Is it true?! Thanks for your sharing.

My experience is that our kindergarten reminded us to bring along the portfolio when attending the interview of Y1 and that was "borrowed" from the kindergarten. I did not make any portfolio by myself.
Any other parents have different experiences?

I just filled in the application form and answered all the questions honestly. And only attached the copy of school report as requested. That's it!

BTW, my friend told me that as her son's school only provided a report in CHINESE (local kindergarten), she received a direct decline after the interview. Proof of good language environment and proficiency in english is a must!
