點教孩子英文串字

有沒有方法教小朋友串英文生字, 我個女記中文字好易, 但英文則時常忘記, 已學了大半年phonics都未可以掌握3個字母的發音, 點教好? 請各位指教.....

女女幾大呀? 除左學phonic, 有冇試過其他方法? 要學得好最緊要冇壓力同多接觸

it may not be your daughter's problem.. u can find out more how your learning centre is teaching her phonics. somehow phonics is not a good way to teach children spelling. if u really want her to improve in spelling, u can take IPA instead

i also heard that IPA is better then phonics....as many children learnt phonics before but sounds no improvement......maybe u can find some IPA course for your daughter

my son is learning IPA too. it's international phonetic alphabet. it's very useful in dictation and spelling as he can divide each words into different segments before memorizing it

Could you tell me where i can get more info for IPA ? such as where is the location on HKG island east ? and what is the suitable age for learning ?

IPA is too difficult for young kids, phonics will be a better choice.

串英文生字主要,可以透過兩方面
1)字音(聽覺形)
2)圖像(視覺形)
3)經歷(觸覺形)

我覺得你的女女唔係聽覺形




圖像(視覺形)的教學方法:
1)畫一幅圖,有幾個景象,要女女一起睇,一起講反這些英文
好處:一次過記好多英文
2)用小卡寫中文,叫女女講英文,講錯就同佢一起串,even 用個個字講故事
好處:將呢個生字學習變成一個經歷,觸覺形合用
3)分字法:將一個長的字分為幾個已經識的字,俾女女覺得唔係學新字
eg artist分為art 藝術同-ist
     下次再教-ist尾 如atheist可以分為a
-the -ist 咁女女眼中易好多,因為ist上次學左
a the 又識



不過最重要係你要知道女女學英文方面真係有困難定係心理問題
因為好多時 小朋友面對環境係中文但係要佢學英文佢會心理上覺得難

唔......我細個都係咁,不過大大下為同英國人date 就好左好多,所以我覺得你女女有可能好似我咁心理作用

I agree with the above, IPA is for older kids or grown ups.  And IPA won't necessarily help with spelling.  I also did some research and considered whether to let my child take IPA but concluded there's no such need.  As rainbow_py_chow says, you should try to find out how your child learns, ie. auditory or visually.  Also, many kids are not confident in second languages thus they are less willing to put in effort in learning the words.  You should try to stimulate her interest and try to find out real reason why she cannot memorize the words.  

Using flashcards to play games might be a good way to help her spell too.

我都有為阿仔既串字問題而煩惱.
佢對上英文堂無反感,仲聽得明老師講D咩.
連佢英文老師(P1)都話:我對佢有信心播!
但係佢串字就差D喇,頭一次默書只默幾粒字,但係就串左幾晚都仲有串錯個 "fine" 字.

到底係我阿仔串字有問題,定係我過份緊張呢?

咁係佢對字串法唔深刻,好似念口往叫佢串一個字連背45就ok,我都係咁細個
