British council OK ma??

my son is studying in K1 now, is the course from British Council OK?  as you all know, if we join, we have to pay fee of 3-4 months, so i must make sure is it good first??

1) 一入到去, 係自由活動時間, 小朋友可以自已拿story book 比老師同佢地講, or 自已play toys, 自已reading.  k1 主要係唱歌+做手工+自由活動時間比小朋友自已玩, 有時仲會watch tv.  
k2, 每一個學期都會有兩本story book 的, 所教的便是圍繞住呢兩本story book.  亦會有singing + 做手工 +自由活動時間.  有時亦有watch tv 的.

我覺得british council 的kinder course 很relax, 一d 都不intensive.  如果你想很量化小朋友每堂學了什麼, 我覺得british council 並不適合, 你應要找一些小組的course 比較好, british council 每班好似有12個小朋友, 有一識講中文的助教和一位tutor

值得一提的是, british council 的金鐘center, k1 和k2 的課室又大又靚, 不是一般learning center 有, 但係他們不是小班教學, 又收more than $150 per hour, 值不值就要自已想想.

2) yes, 我大仔由k1開始讀.  e+ 讀緊k2 上學期, 我亦報了k2下學期

3) 進步是有的, 我不覺得有很大和很明顯進步, 因為我地平日是要中文溝通的.  但我自己亦會在家和小朋友讀英文書.
在k1 last lesson 時, 我地問過british council 的tutor, 她說我大仔聽得明, 但很少講.  到現在k2, 我地有時在接放學時, 有机會都會問問tutor大仔的情況, 她說大仔有講英文.  在學校, 我亦問過他的英文老師, 是否會用英文回答問題, 老師亦說有.
我想一個星期才上一堂, 每堂1.5 hours, 是沒有可能在很快的時間有很明顯的進步的.

英基我未讀過不是太清楚.

但係英基course 是3 hours per lesson 的, 而british council 是1.5 hours per lesson.  我自已覺得3 hours 對我大仔呢講會有點長, 我大仔4.5 歲.

英基和british council 都係大班教學的.

英基都是出名的大机構, 我覺得應該都ok 的

My son has joined the British concil course b4. But the class was too big! Too many students that my son didn't reli speak English and concentrate.

my son is learning English in another centre now. The class is more concentrated - max 4 students! I can see that his English has improved significantly, in terms of speaking, grammar & writing.
