我發覺好多學校都唔係好收細仔....你哋有無同感?
請問有幾多細仔係in邊間,邊間都收呢?
我個仔in了十間,依家得一間收,我啲friend又係細仔,到依家一間都無係手,所以,想了解吓係唔係細仔會好蝕呢?

我好有同感, 但有何辦法, 我不會要亞仔讀多一年k3, 等出年變大仔再考, 我相信有學校會收, 最多抽獎. 現在是蝕底, 但不會蝕好耐.

It is only natural, 細仔can be 6-12 months younger, in the 5-6 years old range, 6 months can make a huge difference.

Yes, it is true. My child is the youngest in her class and her friend was born in the same month. No matter how good they did the interview and they showed confidence, the result is they are not likely to be chosen. I finally woke up.... this reality!

No offer at the moment... however, waiting for result of GHS, KTS and DGJS (hasn't got interviewed yet), also the gov't allocation. Perhaps I under estimated the 'discrimination of young kids', I didn't enrol many primaries as I only apply for those I would like my daughter to go. God bless....

If my 'small' son is not performing as good as his peers, of course I would let him repeat 1 year. However, my son's performance is above average in kindergarten, he would get bored if repeat 1 year, also he doesn't want to lose his peer friends.

He is doing great in P.1 now!

IceCrm,

No offer for my kid at this moment. Same to you waiting.  Although he finished the 2nd interview of Ying Wah and performed really excellent during the 2nd interview, I am afraid he may not get the seat as he is a "small" boy.  What I need to do is to prepare for the worst --  no offer at the end. Actually, I don't want to wait until June, 2009.  


Nice to talk to those parents who also suffer from this realistic treatment.

As long as YW offered your son the chance of 2nd interview, meaning that they accept your son as a 'small boy'. Chance is high as he performed well.

Wish to hear good news from you. I start to feel exhausted and disappointed about this game and just look forward for 1st round of gov't allocation. I don't want to suffer from heart-attack until June 09.

Wish all kind  BK moms can get ideal offer in 2008 too.

Don't look back! It's not that bad, at least you already have an offer from ICQM, you can also go for govt lottery.

I know some people got rejections from ICQM, so don't think they accept everyone, of course the competition for getting a seat there is not as keen as DBS, DGS etc, but it doesn't mean it's not a good school. I think lots of misconception from parents: if a school is more difficult to get into = it must be a better school.

The important thing is whether that school is suitable to your kids.
