Although both our daughters dressed differently from others, both of them got offers from CU. That reinforced me that formal dresses are not necessary so long as you dress properly.

I remember that when my daughter was asked by Cambridge to attend an interview at Cambridge (UK), it mentioned that formal dressing is not necessary. He/She should wear comfortably for otherwise it would affect her performance in the interview.

I think it is also applicable to the applicants in Hong Kong. They do not bother to wear formal dressing but dress comfortably and properly.

我都係咁樣同阿女講，大學如果睇衣著比分，就唔讀都算啦，不過佢會覺得幾異相，唔係好自在，所以如果唔想有阿女嘅feeling，可以跟大圍嘅著法，呢個只係apply to UST business ，其他科就唔清楚。

我曾看過一個面試成功的人分享心得, 也提到衣著問題, 他在選擇面試衣飾時, 因考慮到大部份人都會穿黑白色套裝之類, 他想, 考官坐一整天, 見差不多的人, 穿差不多的衣服, 說差不多的話, 應該會看到麻木了吧, 怎樣才可讓他眼前一亮, 記住自己, 於是, 他選了一件不同顏色的衣服, 得到萬綠叢中一點紅的效果, 以我看來, 這件衣服未必是他得以入圍的全部原因, 但他連衣著方面都考慮到, 我想他也會在其他方面也做足準備吧.
