回復 SHERMEN 的帖子
It is a very good school. It has a beautiful new building (and indoor swimming pool) which is quite rare in HK. The cost of applcation is stamp and your time - as no application fee is payable (unlike many competitors). Again, unlike many competitors, it accepts both boys and girls.
I guess some elements of self-fulfilling prophecy are also in play. When a sufficient number of parents think it is a good school and they must apply nothwithstanding whether their kids are suitable here, then almost all keen parents are unwilling not to try. The result is that, statistically speaking, it is more difficult to enter Primary One of this school than to enter an undergraduate program at Harvard University.
The monthly school fee of $6,000 is high by local standard, but it is, like Club Med, an all--inclusive fee, such that any extra activities are free. So you do not need to worry about "other expenses" here.
If you have worries about school fees, you may apply for financial assistance. Once your child is accepted, no one in the school is supposed to know that your child is financially assisted. However, your worry may come from another source. One day, your child may ask you why almost all his/her classmates are going home on (chauffeur driven) limousines while he/she has to travel by bus. When it happens, you will have a good answer, won't you?
