我兒吃Ritalin, 也有情緒反覆及失眠, 第1,2天晚上会乱講野, 医生説要硬着頭皮一星期, 真係第4日就好多了

仔仔吃到第三晚又無喊了，但每晚都要成十一點才瞓，你仔仔是否話瞓就瞓，我仔明明講緊嘢，突然間靜啦約十五秒，就聽到佢瞓到咕咕聲，你仔吃R幾多小時嗰隻，胃口可以嗎?

My son used to sleep at 10:45pm. This's the 3rd week of Ritalin, about 2/3 of the time he sleeps at 11:30pm and can be up to 1am. He can't sleep properly can be due to:1. too stressful, eg finished homework or study late e.g. 10:30pm and we pushed him too much ie his brain is still running
2. There's something bothering him eg Did not allow him to feed the cat before sleep or no reading time due to finished homework late. I think that's emotional issue

I also find that if I sooth him / pamper him when he's in bed, and stopping him from talking, he sleeps faster.

His dosage is 5mg, once after breakfast ie only good for 4 hours. But it seems that he also did well when he comes home. I thinks its due to we have more empathy on him, be more relax in studies and he learn faster that way.

About his appitise, he eat less in lunch and feel having upset stomach. He feels better after some snack eg sour plum. He eats well in dinner. I bought some Japanese seaweed pack to add into rice and he actually eat more. I give him milk before bedtime so that he can sleep better too. In fact, he gain 2 pounds ( now 55) in these 3 weeks.

因亞仔以往對食無乜興趣，早餐也吃不多，一向比較瘦，所以現在早晚也給他加飲奶，今星期開始試薬，薬散後晚餐倘算ok! 小食我也準備一些餅乾及他喜愛的紫菜，希望磅數唔好跌太多啦!今日無比薬佢食，早上無原因地發了一大輪脾氣後又無事，下午又正常番，打了乒乓球後，就話好肚餓，帶他吃了一個漢堡包，回家又話肚餓，早點給他吃晚飯，吃完隔了一陣又話肚餓，給了小小餅乾和奶，現在睡著了!平時肯咁食就好啦!

I keep on feeding him the medicine even it's holiday but I cut the dosage to 2.5mg ( i.e. 1/4 of 10 mg tablet). Some doctor said they need to learn from their surroundings as well.

I feel that he can sustain his concentration pretty good until afternoon. He actually gained some weight this month. I give him yogurt and i more milk at night. I think the impact is good overall!
