Good topic to discuss.
My kid is in a LS but using IB. P3 now, kid n I are happy, but daddy is not.
My POV on this topic is:
It depends a lot on the parents. If the parents choose to focus life on their kids results n kids instead of having their (parents) own life, I think LS is way. I am saying most of local parents who r conservative in many aspects, eg, my husband.
On the other hand, those parents who never seem to feel regret in IS, are those who enjoy it as it is.
Seriously, what kind of parents would regret IS then switch to LS? -- those who concern A Lot on results. They eventually cant stand it anymore n wants to see if their kids can be boasted n become special....
Just my two cents.
P.s. I am a satisfied mom who sees my child going to school happily n satisfied to the things he gets to benefit from IB, although its a local school, his eng is a bit below standard. Those of his friends who has better proficiency r those who keeps going to learning centers. My child only goes to school, even music instruments r courses from school. |
