I agree that reading is the best way of learning English effectively.  Once the kids get interested in reading, they will enjoy the learning process, and can learn many many vocabs and the grammar rules naturally.  It is much better than forcing them to take the training courses, spelling, and memorizing the words.

But of course, before taking the exam, practising a couple of past papers can help them familiarise with the test format.  But once the kids get tired or fed up with the exercise, better stop it or they will lose the interest in learning.  (This is just my personal opinion......)

may be this Dec ( FCE for school) but still looking for past paper /book from commercial press. will let her try the paper first if she is good then take the exam. if not, i won't waste my $. will wait until she is ready.

唔好意思，唔記得左上返來講，阿女fce成績出左，分數雖然唔係好高，但PASS左，阿女讀繄五年班，考中三、四程度既FCE可以PASS，對於我來講好滿意。:
