for drop off point, driver may drop the kid in the drop off point, teachers/ assistant are ready over there to pick the kid back to school.
for pick up point, i have no idea as i go inside the covered playground to pick up by myself.  coz i am worry abt the arrangement in the rainy days.

For pickup, if you choose, you can have the teacher bring them down to the pickup area, as long as the teacher knows ahead of time.

Interviews are generally towards late January to early February, but I think you should be able to submit the forms now.

i have emailed them twice asking for the application period and deadline but no reply and i am not sure if they have an updated form to use or keep on for the existing one

For last year (if I remember correctly), the application deadline was in Dec 2014.  The deadline was posted on the website when it was near.  You can call the admission to check.  It's much better to call than by email.

I would like to know for G1,  CAIS most likely to accept IS kindy (thr interviews) , like ESF right ? how about the chances of taking LS kids ?


真係唔好意思 ， 只係想了解下如果入倒 ESF ， 小學上 CAIS 得唔得。。 and now my son will take nursery at a Montessori school.

最近屋企嘅 IS，校風感覺好啲，覺得小朋友純啲，加上我哋想佢讀 IS , 但係老人家想佢讀 CKY ! 但係 CKY仲難入，又要谷呢嘢個嘢。。。老人家都鍾意 CAIS 覺得中文好過 ESF... 唉。。要個個開心好難

不過小朋友都未必考到ESF kindy, 就算考到都未必入到 ESF primary... 覺得好麻煩。。

而家返 Montessori 好開心，但係感覺唔知讀上去小學可以讀乜。。。所以而家要計劃吓

From comparing Chinese levels of CKY and CAIS, I'm not really sure if CAIS's Chinese is any better than CKY.  I have friends with kids in CKY, and comparing the Chinese learning and homework at the Primary level, CKY is definitely more advanced than CAIS.  Now, this may have more to do with the philosophy of the school, and I can see that CKY definitely pushes harder at the primary levels at CAIS.  Whether CAIS matches CKY's Chinese levels into Secondary, I don't know.

It's understandable that the 老人家 would prefer CKY, as their reputation is certainly more well known in this city.  CAIS is really a niche choice for most, and for the most part, from what I've observed, there's usually a fairly unique reason that is not academics (whatever that may be) that would have someone prioritize CAIS over the more well known schools.  And for many parents, it's an active decision to take more of a risk (because the school isn't as well known) and to prioritize the areas that are harder to measure (attitude, morality, value, etc.) over purely the academics.

As for acceptance into CAIS, which school your child comes from matters very little, if any.  What matters more is their ability in English, and IMO, their attitude towards the classroom and learning.
