CC裏頭, 大多是考不到正式四年制本地大學的, 學業成績可以而知, 也為數不少的是已經在社會工作了一段時間才想到回校修過諸如會計文憑之類的, 在美加這是十分普遍. 一個才讀完grade 10的少年人, 夾雜在這樣的學習環境當中, 適合嗎?
此外, 現在的CC, 也不是那麼容易混了, 且看已有不少國際生以此為捷徑入大學, 少了人家兩年高中學歷, 是否認為當真可以輕鬆考上大學? 若真有此能耐聰慧過人, 倒不如多讀兩年高中, 打好更佳根底, 以期成功考入更理想的大學.
California community colleges are required to admit any California resident possessing a high school diploma or equivalent. California community colleges may admit any nonresident possessing a high school diploma or equivalent or any person over the age of 18 who, in the judgment of the board, is capable of profiting from the instruction offered. Community colleges may admit minors who do not hold high school diplomas, or equivalent, to its credit courses as special part-time or special full-time students. Most community colleges have established requirements for K-12th grade concurrently enrolled students. Interested students should contact the college's admission office.
