Ability to Read

My son starts to read on his own at 3+.  He reads an hour a day at home. Read aloud each word, not scanning the pictures.  If your son does not have a habbit in reading, you can consider to read with him 15-20 minutes a day.  Choose the books to fit his level & interest.

My son is 4 next month, he does not able to write, any help or recommendation?  He is very lazy, does not like to use his hands on everything.  He has no interest in drawing and writing at all.

How do you teach Chinese to your daugthers?

I am struggling if I should teach some Chinese words to my son, but he is learning Putonghua in school, I am afraid will confuse him if I use Cantonese to teach him words.  I also don't know whether to teach him simp. Chinese or trad. Chinese.
