Yes, I know exactly what you mean.  Another 2 months of waiting is nerve wracking...  But think on the bright side... it's at least a chance to get in... better than not having a chance at all.... good luck + add oil....

My son got offers from BHS and RC, going to give up RC offer.

Do you mean your girl have 3 interview in RC last year? My boy just got a 2nd interview letter today, but the letter said it is strongly possible that he won't improve his English in this short period, so suggest us to find other school. I don't know it's that mean he has very low chance to get into the school because he didn't do well in the 1st interview.
And could i know what they asked in the 2nd interview? did they ask the same or similar question like 1st interview?

kcvtsai mom, then you will have to pay the $15xxx deposit otherwise your place will be released, but thinking at the end you might be offered in kjs, then your deposit will be forfeited....that's big money...

Radiomama, would you mind telling me how to decide the priority for those on the waitlist?  What does it deal with school admin?

If anyone know that if they state reject is that meant no chance at ALL????

I've appled 7 school for but unluckily none of the SCHOOL have offer or waiting list, all are REJECT!!!  

THAT DRIVE ME CRAZY!!!!

We were in the same situation before. I would say get in touch with school and find out what skills they think your child is lacking. Show them that you are willing to work hard with your child to improve on those areas.

alpham0m, thanks for your sharing. I am going to contact the school tomorrow. But I know the reason he fail the interview is he is quite shy and like to acting like baby.
could I know in your girl 2nd interview do they ask the similar question like 1st interview? and how many children eventualy got the offer from the sibling 2nd interview group?

The format for second interview was still the same. One thing they stressed was that they need to make sure the child is ready to cope in a big class of thirty children. They are looking for not just English skill, but also social skills such as follow teacher's instructions and so on...Make sure he follows teacher's instruction and be a good boy.

Majority of the children who were offered a chance of second interview did make it. However, I do know one girl who didn't make it at second interview but they eventually secured a place at another international school.

About RC, I am a bit confused after reading the above posts.
Does means after 1st interview, the school sent out 4 kinds of letter
1. Accept
2. Wait list
3. Reject
4. 2nd interview

I am wondering when will they call for wait list and if the placements are filled up by wait list kids, how can they find vancies for kids from 2nd interview?

Can parents of RC share more information?

With experiences learnt from last year, during the period between result of 1st interview and the 2nd interview(Apr), any place released (ie those gave up RC offer by not registering and paying before deadline) will all be given to those on waitlist (no place reservation for those need to go through 2nd interview). By the time your child passed the 2nd interview, whether you will be confirmed with a place will depend on how many places at that time left or given up by others who have been given an offer earlier.

However, you dont need to feel disappointed if you are on waitlist or required to go for 2nd interview because it is expected that a number of places will be finally released as many parents actually have applied for more than 1 school and finally got double or triple offers!

Had come across a live case last year that child A was not given chance of interview while child B was given interview (1st round) - both child A and B were in the same kinder. Outcome was :

child B recieved a letter of reject when the result was first announced.
child A (after 2nd round of interview happened) recieved a call to go for interview. Finally he was given an offer and now is in year 1.

so dont be appointed at this point of time, but on the contrary be better to equip and get your child ready at all time whenever opportunity comes!

Thank you for your information. Since there was 2nd interview last year and some kids were accepted. Did it mean that RC still had vacancy after calling all of the kids on waitlist last year?

yes, remember that parents on waitlist (only those had passed the 1st interviee this year) might have their plan B or plan C and so they might not be able to wait for the available offer. Dont be confused that the waitlist is a long long queue .

If you have already passed the interview and on wait list at this point.... Your chance of getting in is very high
