Anfield or American Int School

My son accept by Anfield and American Internation School for K1 course next year. I would like him study in international school later as well (may be ESF). May I know which school is the good choose. I have read those message for AIS is not so good but I have seen their kindergarden which is not so bad. I have visit Anfield as well but they seem a little bit old. But their teacher said that all of their student in this year have pass the ESF admination exam. I would like to know if anyone know about it ?

Re: Anfield or American Int School

Hi Kenny,

My son is now studying in Anfield. You have to know that although all their kids passed the admission exam of ESF, but not all of their kids got interview from ESF. That's different. My son hasn't got interview from ESF (just Phoenix only) as we are local, don't have sibling in ESF, and not holding foreign passport.

Re: Anfield or American Int School

I'm not quite sure about "how many student have interview from ESF if they all holding foreign passport". But I know that all those granted the interview passed. Anfield is quite strong 'academically' I think. My son also passed the interview of ICS and Phoenix which require proficiency in English. But he was not granted any interview by ESF.

And. Anfield has quite a good mixture of different cultures. In my son's class, there are American, English, Indians, Chinese, Korean, Japanese. And I'm very happy with their teachers, most of them are nice, and very caring to the kids.
I also like Anfield for it has Mandarin/Chinese lesson every day. According to the Mandarin teacher, my son can understand well and speak quite good Mandarin (though he never talks to me in Mandarin). And he really tries hard to speak to her in Mandarin (not English or Cantonese) even sometimes he does not exactly know how to say. Which, to me it's already very good. At least he does not have hurdle to use the language.
