FIS vs. GSIS - How to choose?
Friend's daughter wants to switch from French International School to German Swiss. She was born in November. She is a small girl at FIS (FIS uses Dec as the cutoff date) and will be attending P2. But based on German Swiss' requirement (cutoff date in september) she will be a big girl and will be attending P1 (one year lower).
She wants to know if there is any differences in the academic level between FIS and GSIS? Is P1 at GSIS equivalent to P1 at FIS? If her daughter has already attended P1 at FIS, would she be studying the same thing over again if she switches to GSIS and repeat P1? Would GSIS's curriculum be ahead of FIS? Any comments are appreciated.
