ABRSM exam:都過左報名deadline,點解老師仲叫我買exam pieces?

果本grade 3 exam pieces 係for 2005-07年考試,成$80,我仲順手買埋隻CD tim. 點知剛剛check過原來過了報名deadline. 點解師仲叫我買??   :evil:
用唔用得翻,會唔會2008-2010年d歌一樣?
橫掂都係出年5月先有得考,點解唔叫我買grade 4呢?

我個老師話, 可以用舊書架, 不過一定要幾隻歌都黎自同一本書lor!

出年還可以用本年 syllbus, 所以可以仍有舊書。 二來如果來年才考, 也可能是來年未能考 grade 4, 要記得通常準備得 grade 3 考試時的能力該是大約 grade 3 尾 grade 4 頭, 未能應付 grade 4 考試的。

thx for your reply. Then I understand why grade 3 but not grade 4. However, the exam pieces book is for yr 2005-07. the new syll. of 08 will be announced in July this yr. how can I know which particular pieces will also on list in yr 2008-2010?

Are you talking piano exam? the syllabus now in sale should be either 2005-2006 or 2007-2008, isn't it? Why there is 2005-2007?

通常不會重覆

但事實是 07 年 的考試書可在 08 年多使用一年, 如果要等八月出下年新書才開始練習, 有不少老師會考慮零可用舊 syllbus 考試, 但一定要 08年考到, 因09年一定要使用新 syllbus 考, 明白嗎?

I always say to my students -- If you think the exam is too difficult to pass, give that up please! You are not ready for the exam.

If you are really up to standard, it would NEVER be too difficult.
