MCS = 瑪利諾小學
因為是天主教辦,所以應該唔會轉直資,除非陳日君主教改變他對教育的看法。當年記得佢話就算關閉所有天主教學校(MCS、LaSalle、油天 ... )都唔轉直資。

Good Hope is the second traditional school which change to DSS school.

天主教學校唔轉直資, but it may run in 私立 模式, just like:
Good Hope
Our Lady's Primary School
Sacred Heart Canossian School
St. Clare's Primary School
St. Paul's Convent School (Primary Section)

My understanding: 直資 is not equal to 私立

But Good Hope and St. Paul Convent (中學) 肯定是直資不是私立.

Good Hope and SPC are still 私立 Woo...  ?

But I'm sorry, I don't know that their secondary schools have been changed to 直資.  It's because secondary education is too far away for my baby.

The reason why both GH and SPC changed to 直資 is because in order to maintain the relationship between primary and secondary school, they need to be from the same finance "mode".

Before, when GHS was subsidized, the finance mode is different from the primary section, which is private. That means, when the time comes, the link between primary and secondary section will be abolished. The only way out is to have the secondary section change to 直資, so both fall under the same mode. I think it is the same situation over at SPC.
