You can approach child assessment centre in Department of health. They are expert in doing preliminary assessment and usually they are correct as they don't ahve personal interest. In case of doubt, they will refer you to child psychiatrist for definitive assessment. The drawback is that you have to wait.

In case if you can afford to spend money, STEP is a good centre to approach. Other experienced clinical psychologist can make the diagnosis of asperger.

The usual price for private assessment is around 3000-5000.

Whenever in doubt, ask expert and intervent early. the earlier intervention the better. Don't waste time in accepting the diagnosis.
