My son also get a seat in York. But didn't apply for KV (because of late apply, no application form). Anyway, point of famous, you should choose KV. I think many parents in BK will give you this answer. On the other hand, York is not bad.

我有個朋友講話佢個小朋友o向york讀了兩年, 屋企講廣東話, 出街同人講英文時d發音好有外國style喎...... 不過我未接觸過呢間kg o既學生......

Choose Kentville and attend some English classes as well.  E.g. phonics and oral.  Try Granville or Jolly faith. Not bad.

其實根德園的功課量並不是外間傳的那麽多和可怖!
我仔仔現在根德園讀K3, 每天3份功課(中, 英, 數各一篇), 通常半小時左右可完成. 星期五會多一,兩份, 因為有多兩日時間做. 學校從K1開始就教佢地做功課係佢地自己的責任, 要自己做, 不用大人陪着, 完成後就比媽咪check下有冇做錯. 我所認識的同學仔, 絕大多數都係自己做功課, 不用煩媽咪

仔仔的英文如何? 相比其他英文幼稚園的小朋友又如何?

I hope you don't mind if I answer you in english, since my chinese typing is extremely poor and slow.

The english standard of KV is pretty good, if you compare it with other local kindergartens. Their teachers are very experienced and their standard (no matter when you are talking about pronunciation or accent) are very good too. I would say their weaknesses are no NET and phonics lesson in school. If you want to make up these weaknesses, you can let your child to have some more english courses somewhere outside and that's what my son as well as most KV students are doing now. Don't worry! KV students are trained to be good learners.

約克沒有那麼好!試問一間會對老師不好的學校,老師還會有心機教學嗎?

can you state the contact detail of Granville or Jolly faith? also, any putonghwa course?  I heard that KV is weak in this training... my daughter will study KV in next year..

I personally think KV is one of best schools among Kowloon Tong area.  My daugher is K3 in KV now and she has get accepted by 5 schools in primary one interviews.  She will attend DGJS in this fall 2007.  As a lot of parents are compared between St. Catherine and KV.  I believe  KV is very good in Chinese and Math, but a little bit weak in English.  As a result, my daughter has join two different english courses to strength her English area.   I believe all schools have their strength and weakness, so no need to compare which to which.

數學就平凡一點....也算是中上水平....

YORK 在我心中已是一所很好學校

根得園口碑很好....應該也是一間出色學校

最後我想補充....一個子女成績好壞...除了學校外...父母更重要...

我一直都有聽聞york既英文程度幾好架
中數我就唔知.
我囝囝係kv讀既..都覺得kv係中同數方面非常好..但英文就發音好.不過listening 同oral都較弱
我都想大家唔同學校可以交換下大家小朋友既程度..
想知york而家k2數學同中文方面既進度去到邊?
kv中文就開始寫句子...認字方面都半學期認左約80個.
數學就教緊補加數.直式都教左.
