坦白講, 好睇個小朋友的能力, 如果佢係有能力的話, 我讚成讀早一年囉......

小兒係12月出生,我選擇佢早讀一年, 佢今年考小一, 都表現得幾好, SFA & KTS都收咗佢....所以我覺得你要比D信心小朋友, 同觀察佢平時的表現至決定囉

若果你問我，我一定話大仔好口的。因為小朋友差一年相距很遠。因我的小朋友是大仔，所以在班裡較其他小朋友成熟小小，在功課上容易吸收，答問題也比其他人有信心。
記住，小小小小，日積月累，聚沙成塔，自信心就係這樣不知不覺中養成。日後的好處多不勝數，到時你會好開心。不要貪求讀早一年就早一年畢業。
順帶一提，這問題和讀書的能力無關。就算有能力讀，遲一年讀將會更成熟更易將握。人生幾十年，將來遇到的問題何其多啊！今日能考入SFK或KTS又算什麼呢？就算真係入左去讀，咁考第尾死得。再者，萬一輪到你，而你個仔考唔入未弊家伙。到時邊個會賠翻比你。就算，今日港大畢業呀，咁又點呢？而事實上又真係好多嘛。(單單在bk裡認屎認屁的都唔知有幾多。好似係隔離都有呀，佢地重開緊筆戰，重話係乜大學物大學畢業添。真係羞家。)
千萬記住，不要用你的小孩去賭博。而家的好學校所追求的不只是一個好學生還要比別人更好更有把握做好每一件事的學生。
問心口個句，我寧願我的小孩比同級的同學成熟些，讀書更有把握，做事更有信心，更積極。到時口的好處只有過來人才會知。

真的要你自己看看小孩的能力及成熟程度，若o.k.，不況早讀，所以可以給小孩入學先，觀察後再決定!

我個仔係11月中出生, 我選擇係 K1 比佢重讀, 其實我當時都唸左好耐, 亦都詢問過好多人嘅意見, 大比數都贊成我比佢重讀, 因為我真係唔想佢讀書讀得咁辛苦, 佢而家讀緊小四, 成績很不錯呢!

比我選, 都會做大仔了. 但我想問一定要re-peat一年咩, 唔可以遲一年先讀k1咩. 將來大把時間讀, 唔急於嗰一年啦, 其實2-3歲真係佢地最快樂的時光, 無憂無慮, 玩跳笑. 一返咗學, 唔多唔少都有d壓力. 面對老師, 同學, 家長又開始要求佢呢樣做好d, 嗰樣又要做好d, 唉... 所以我一向都唔讚成d人太早送小朋友入學(如果情況許可的話).

same situation as my son....

since my son is studying K3 now, so i need to make the decision quickly.....
if really repeating K3, then its better for him to change to another school or not? or just let him to try P1 first, if he really can't manage well, then just repeat P1?
Actually I've been thinking to let my boy repeating K2, but his teacher said no need to do so , so I just let him study K3 this year, but now I'm really worry that he will hardly catch up the work in primary ....

same as me, my son is big boy and not repeat in K1. only study one year later than other children. he is borned in end Dec. I think one year is negligible compare with the whole life for study (may be nearly 20 years). So dont care of 1 year behind unless you have no money to support your children. You should think about that whether your kid is more smart than one year before. you should get the answer.

I think there is no need to repeat.  I will keep the chance of repeating at criticial time, like the chance of entering University.  I think your son's K2 teacher's opinion is precious as she had observed your son's ability and found that he can catch up with others children.

My son was born on the end of November, in fact he should have been delivered at Mid-December.  Now he is studying P.1, there is not much problem for him.  He likes studying Primary school more than kindergarten as he is very much like being elder.

By the way, if you are still worrying, you can choose a school of which the work load is not so demanding at p.1-3.  I think the 1-year age gap will become smaller when they grow up.

My son also born in Nov.  We let him to be a small boy and he is now K3.  Previously we also worry if we should let him to repeat K3 but his class teacher said he is very smart and no need to do so.  So we apply DSS schools like HKUPAS, DBSPD and GTS.  HKUPAS and GTS are both in waiting list now and DBSPD in second round and waiting for result.  And in the subsidiary school first round draw luckily he got St. Joseph offer.  So I don't think it really a big issue for small/big boys for studying P1 as long as your son is capable.

I think major drawback for a small boy compare with the big boy is on physically side.  Such as my son cannot control his small muscle very well and so some drawing / writing works need to work extra hard.  Some extra cirricular activities like swimming / piano playing also cannot start so early as other parents do.

Same as me, 我個仔讀緊K3, 跟得上但佢好多同學係大仔年頭或早一年十二月出生,比較之下我個仔細佢地成年, 人地走都快D, 寫字又整齊D,如果畀個仔讀小一由其係傳統小學我驚大家都辛苦,點同人比 跟唔上冇心機讀就慘! 反唔到轉頭!五年小學生涯點過?我唔想個仔苦口苦面返學, 讀唔上要轉去街坊普通小學,我個仔好聰明好記性, 我唔想蹝

我仔仔係年頭出世既, 係K1時無論係思維, 溝通, 執筆, 認字............各方面真係睇到大仔同細仔既分別, 不過去到K2時分別就無咁明顯, 有D細仔一樣都好sharp, 所以我覺得其實都係果句, 無論係細仔或大仔, 總之本身個小朋友有能力的話係就ok!

相信大部人都會想做大仔. 理由很充足.

留不留級真的要睇父母. 各父母想法和要求不同.

不過如果選擇留級 越早越好.  不要等到真係追不上才作決定.  

我朋友個囡係細囡. 一直讀書成績都不好. 但人真係好叻女和聰明. 佢最後要在小3 留級.

我都煩緊此問題．（但我的ｂｂ現在只係讀緊ｋ１）．
ｂｂ現在一間band２幼稚園讀緊，　有band1尾的幼稚園收讀出年ｋ２插班，　但我都有報其他band1頭的幼稚園repeat k1.
現心大心細，　
１）在原校讀ｋ２？　ｂｂ一定開心因係happy school.　老公鍾意因有得泊車．　但不可直上小學，　因要派位但不同網，　機會細ｄ．

２）有band1尾的幼稚園收讀出年ｋ２插班？　老公有ｄ意見，　因為呢間接送較麻煩，　無得泊車．　但有小學直上．

３）band1頭的幼稚園repeat k1？　老公鍾意呢間學校的名氣，　有小學直上，　但要repeat k1，　好似浪費一年，　因人人都說ｂｂ雖然是細ｂ，　但很聰明．

我自己就在觀課時覺得始終細ｂ係差ｄ，　有時有ｄ　"on居居”，　不及大ｂ同學咁叻識表達咁多．　

我都想大家俾ｄ意見呀！
