sisima, 想請問, 衛理小學係咪活動教學? 聽講老師很有愛心........ (不算是活動教學,跟一般小學一樣.但坐位是以一組組分開坐,老師好多都是基督徒,所以會有耐性些,如果小朋友頑皮,唔聽教, 老師一樣會寫手冊, 有時會罰無小息放.)

你地的小朋友讀得開心嗎? (同學之間相處很好,常有生日聚會等.暫時佢無投訴上學不開心.)

一二年班, 每天有多少樣功課? 多抄寫功課嗎? 幾多測/考? (p1 唔會太多評估, 上了p2才閞始多, 下學期會多些.上,下學期各一次總評=考試, 每學期各小,進,中等約5-6次=測驗,功課p.2約三,四樣, 三年班有時4-5, 有時5-6, 有時近測,考功課會少些.) 希望幫到你!

請問這裏有冇北角衛理下午班的家長。

我係想問下午班時間會吾會好吾見洗。小朋友下午返學雜中力係咪真的冇咁好？成績是否冇上午班咁好？

因為我返工是朝９晚７。我要搭校車返學，怕小朋友早太早起床，夜晚又要早睡。所以想揀下午班。請比些意見。

你好.  我女兒讀下午校, 我覺得如果媽咪要上班的話, 時間上會配合得很好, 我每天下班後, 就全家一起吃晚飯, 跟著女兒便做功課, 有不明白的可以即時問我, 默書測驗時我也可以幫她溫習.

她每晚大概12:00睡覺, 10:00起床, 有充足睡眠.

成績跟上午班比如何, 我則不太清楚.

下午校有8個入了張祝珊,其中4個是自行已收. 上,下午課程是一樣,
同一個校長.成績唔會相差好遠, 不過入下午, 時間要運用得好才無問題.

My son just F1 07-08, he was in PM class last year. You may find it is easier to get in compare to Am class. My son's year and the following year, the PM result will be better than AM and also boys better than girls.

Becasue of the 14 net is better for girls instead of boys, if not the 4 boys can go to other "Famous school". The top 6 are boys, no. 1 went to SPCC, other 4 went to CCSC and one at the end went to DBS.

My wife and I are working parents, we may back home late, if he was in AM class, he slept before we came back home. Personally, I prefer PM class.

Academically, my son is fine. We only arrange ECA or complimentary for him, choice is less, but still ok.

Hi ANChan59 and other parents of Wai Lee,
I am a new parent here.  My boy will join P.1 pm in Sept, very anxious and really hope he could adapt to the life there.

We are so glad that he has offered a pm seat in the first round.   Yet, this is my boy's choice too.  We took him to our two final choices and he told us that he liked this school a lot.

ANChan59 and other parents' kids attending pm class, may I know more on how you allocate the time for your kids?  My hubby and I are working and it is also the reason why we selected pm class, we hope to accompany him more on his study.  But in the morning before going to school, how do you manage the time with your kid?  I start to worry.....  and alsop I afraid he will be tired after school and cannot concentrate well on homework.

Please could somebody give me more advice.  Thanks a lot.

Hi Leungchai, how many mark do you have in the 1st round? more than 15 marks?

Your worry on pm class is the same as what i worry now.

Congratulations to you both!
Don't worry that the child will be tired in school.  For my daughter, she sleeps at 12:00 a.m. and wakes up at 10:00 a.m., then has her free time and has lunch, and then goes to school at 12:00 p.m. So she is not tired at all.  All her extra-curricular activities are on Saturdays/Sundays.

I agreed with Annew's review. The key thing is your family routine, like if both parents are working and back home late. PM class is good to maintain family relationship. Also, some kids are also sleep late naturally, like my son, if you force him or her to sleep early, they wont follow and hurt the relationship.

Other experience:
1. Don't put all activities on Sat and Sun, too pack is no good;
2. If activities aim for secondary school applications, you can gather more info of what they want and plan strategically;
3. Follow their interest and they are happy to do it;

My wife is readng a good book "The Pressured Child" - Dr. Michael Thompson and Teresa Barker, ISBN 0-345-45013-2. The book reviews the concerns and difficulties of children in school.

Thanks all for the information.  I am still adapting as well as my son.  I am still adapting psychologically.  I also afraid he will miss here and that in the school and whether he could have friends in his class......

Anyway, thanks so much for all your help and comments.
