Regarding to the incoming mail today, my son is accepted.   I called to the teacher and she said they will arrange to inspect the new campus after the decoration.  She told me the new campus is big and very nice.  Most of the kids can go to secondary school and the secondary school will renovate in primary section.  

We can see the new campus pictures on their web site soon, said the teacher.

Will you accept the offer and give up the central allocation (lucky draw in June 07)?

Why not!  You may hold the seat until Jun 07.
You may go to the central lucky draw at Jun 07 but they will cancel your offer at  Jun 07.

I think we dont to pay the extra money to learn english outside coz the school will provide a lot of extra exe to their children.  Many kids from victoria int'l, famous kinders's dream school in HK.

Even some kids come from Lantau Island.

I saw their students are very polite and smart during lunch time.  To compare with DDS, the standard is higher and test all the time.  To keep their students in a high level mimium requirement .  Let's kids to find our what's they need to improve.   If you want no homework , no pressure, it is better to choose DDS.

ONE IS HELD IN JAN AND ONE IS HELD IN SEP

THEY SAID WE HAVE A RIGHT TO JOIN THE 統一派位 ALLOCATION BUT THEY WILL CANCEL YOUR SEAT AUTOMATICALY AFTER THE GOV'T REPORT TO THEM.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND ABOVE THE MAILING SAID??

IT IS NOT DDS, IT IS A PRIVATE SCHOOL WHICH LIKE DGS.

In 2006-5, there are 36 students came from Vic.

I think they will only get 30 -35 students in each class.  I dont know will they follow SPPC , 2 teachers in a class

But I know they must speak english  in classes all the time. such as a lot of poams, rythms, writing.science. drama.

I think the location is very good.

Actually I want to know more about 資優教育.  I heard that primary school that 推行資優教育 will select the 資優兒童 in the school and give them special nurture and training.  Am I correct?

Raimondi will 推行資優教育 starting from 2007?  What will they do in 推行資優教育?  Anyone knows?

高主教大執位 擴校發展資優

【明報專訊】中西區名校高主教書院與小學部礙於校舍空間不足，需「大執位」應變，小學部最快於08年遷入明年停辦中一、位於灣仔的聖瑪加利書院校址，預算斥資數百萬元改裝校舍設計，配合發展資優教育。中學部則合併小學校舍，迎接新高中學制，預計搬遷校舍影響逾2000中、小學師生。

小學遷入聖瑪加利
高主教書院校舍有3幢較狹小的建築物，地下至6樓是小學部，7樓至14樓屬中學。私立的小學部校長陳麗儀表示，小學今年全面轉為全日制後，校舍更見不敷應用，年前已開始另尋校舍，至9月教區終決定撥出已停收中一的聖瑪加利書院校舍，供小學遷校之用，騰出更多空間發展。小學新校舍明年8月起裝修，改裝內部設計，發展資優教學，預計增設多個特別室作為資優教學中心、科學研習室、藝術室及多功能特別室等。

中學擴建 迎新高中學制
高主教書院校長區嘉為表示，小學正式遷出後，中學會擴建小學校舍部分作為音樂室、美術室及圖書館等，加強發展學生的課外興趣。該校學生今年在高考及會考多科獲得8至9分的增值指標，擴建校舍後，有足夠空間開辦更多新高中科目，供學生分組上課。中學正考慮將初中或高中級別搬往小學部，善用校舍及兩個不同位置的學校大門。

聖瑪加利書院原為中學，要改建供小學生使用，連廁所也要大翻新。陳麗儀表示，目前難以確定裝修完工時間，初步預計2008年竣工，碰巧2008年也是高主教書院50周年校慶，可將「喬遷之喜」列為大型慶祝活動。區嘉為說，教區全力支持私立小學部數百萬元裝潢費，而中學屬津貼學校，相信可申請政府撥款翻新校舍。

校長：遷校無礙直屬升中
區嘉為強調，雖然中、小學的地理位置將拉遠，但會保持同一校董會、家長會及校友會，直屬升中關係不變，小學部暫不考慮加班，而且兩校只需約10分鐘車程，相信對學校沒有負面影響。校方昨日已發信通知家長，11月1日舉行小學家長會，介紹遷校發展計劃，兩位校長認為，遷校是一大喜訊，預計家長會感高興及認同。

I of course hope that my son can be the lucky ones who would benefit from 資優教育.


This is why I like Raimondi more and more - it seems to me that this is a school who realises its problem and works very hard in educating the new generation!

I can still recall their interview arrangement - teachers are quite pretty and they smiled all the time, the "selected" student representatives are 文質彬彬 and handsome.  A lady, a PTA volunteer, came into the waiting room and spoke with us as well as the children “等陣吾洗驚架。。。”.  When we finished, the headteacher Lily Chen even stood at the entrance “送客”！名校之中，可以用甘既態度對學生同家長，真係值得一讚！

But my question is - how good can Raimondi do about 資優教育...

Hi all,

My elder son is also accepted by RC.

According to the acceptance letter from RC, I think I still can wait for government central allocation in 2007. However, I find some old thread in BK clearly states that the students who register to RC have to give up the chance for central allocation. Up to now, I still cannot make up a decision.  My understanding is that we may only receive the result from SPCPS around November 21.

Before, you said DDS was better.  Now the school has accepted your son and you said private is better.
