在一些拍賣網站時常見到拍賣仿估琴, 手製琴....等, 但價錢只是數千元,為甚摩?

其實現在只有很少手製琴了, 所謂手製其實也是半機製, 只在「埋尾」時期可能用人手修一下。近年的仿古琴問題更甚, 很可能只是用的油漆不同。有些琴用料好一點, 比如木頭放的年期較長, 「收水」較多, 就會較穩定。

數千元其實也會有些好點的手造琴, 但我也說過, 如果你有時間, 又識人在琴廠找琴, 千多元也買到不錯的, 然後再花千多元買琴弓, 換整套琴線及重新做一個優質的琴碼, 分分鐘好過你單是花數千元買琴。

Every time when my son need to change his violin, then I have a headache because I didn't know how to choose .  Once I intent to buy the Hofner from Tom Lee, but the violin said that it might not really worth , and suggest me to buy a hand made one from China.  Finally, the teacher bought it for me , but all I could do is to trust the teacher.
In fact, is there any trustful place/shop you recommend that we can choose violin?

To me, everytime my friend said he / his students are looking for violin, I will just search around in Hong Kong and mainland. Better you provide me your price range and quality expected, I will just see if I could get some cheaper violins from dealer or the makers I know. Though I don't teach violin, I guess my skills in looking a good violin is there, I could make some simple adjustment for the violins.

If you are really look for very high quality OLD violins, it takes time. To me, at least I couldn't get a good one for myself for 4-5 years.
