請問應該幾歲俾佢join playgroup 最好?
應該幾時報名?

Personally I would not let my kid join any playgroup before she/he is 2 years of age.  why in a hurry?  Your kid's first teacher should be mum and dad, and people around him.  After he's 2, then he can join in the playgroup environment to mix with other people/kids.  Keep in mind that kids are easily sick once they are in the classroom mixing with other kids.  So, I would say 2 years old or almost 2.

To me, 18 months is OK but don't over 24 months.  Usually one hour or one & a half hour per lesson and one person can accompany with the kid.

Actually playgroup is a place for u & your baby to play together and to meet other babies & have fun... not that u won't play with your baby in the playgroup... the playgroup only last 30-45 mins. per class, of course u are still your baby's teacher for the rest of the day... i think there is no restricted age for baby joining playgroup... depends on each parents' needs...

For me, i brought my baby to playgroup once a week when she was 6 months old... she's happy and didn't get sick in the class... there were only 6 babies in the class.. also, if there are any babies with sickness, they won't come to the class...

Even a child is over 2 years old, she/he can still get sickness in class...

I understand everyone has her own choice.  I just can't see the point for taking the baby to a classroom environment.  What's the diff. between play with the baby at home/ in the park/ in the playground/ in the classroom?  If there's no difference, why should I pay for it?  The baby can still mix with other babies/kids in the park/ playground.  For older kids, say 1 1/2 to 2 yrs old, they are more aware of the environment surrounding them, they need to sharpen their social skills with other kids and adults.  That's why I think it's a more suitable time to join playgroup.  Any earlier seems a waste of money.

You have your point, but if some parents are willing to pay and let their children to play in the classroom environment with other kids, there's nothing to be hurt... and also i don't know if there is any difference after going to playgroup, i just feel my baby is happy in the playgroup, that's why i join... different parents have different options for them to choose ...

So there is the money issue as well as the sickness issue in your comment regarding not letting children to join playgroup before 2 years old.   I got u...
