多謝你贊我囡囡. 佢5月中剛考完Gr.5, 所以咪参加Gr. 5囉. 以佢嘅能力, 我知係有啲勉强. 不過練翻舊歌對佢黎講可能易過彈Gr. 3新歌. 参賽志在攞經驗.

Hi candytl,

My daughter joined Gd. 5 too : A5, B2 and  C3.  Just started the last two and hope there will be enough time before the heat event.  She has not taken the Gd. 5 exam yet and hope she can play up to standard.

I like your chocie of songs, particularly the A3 and B3.  Hope we can hear your daughter play in the competition.

你囡囡在短短的一個月練三首Gr. 5 的歌, 能力早已超越Gr. 5水平, 考試對佢講也是"easy job". 我相信佢最后也是高質量地彈完三首歌的.
我囡囡三首歌是前任老師揀的, 原本這次只報A3, B3兩首, 后來現任老師建議一係就彈A3, C2, 一係就三首都彈, 最后我哋揀彈三首.

等我今睌回家聽聽你囡囡的選擇的歌先.

Hi candytl,

It is not easy for my daughter too to practise the Gr. 5 songs.   But luckily it is summer and she does not have many activities.  I hope that our heat event will be in October and then we could have two months for preparation.

我都係咁諗, 暑假有多些時間練歌, 如果係平時返學, 時間會好緊迫.

Hi Rachethew,

That's great news.  It means we still have time to try out the new songs, and if teacher does not like them when she is back from holiday, we can change them again.  

By the way, regarding competing with 2 or 3 songs, isn't it more advantageous to do 3  rather than two, unless the two songs are pretty long

其實我未參加過呢類以時間做限制嘅比賽，所以唔知應該點做。或者我聽日同阿 sir 商量吓！但因為 percussion 嘅 syllabus 唔同其他樂器，佢無分 list A.B orC，淨係得幾首歌任選，所以阿 sir 就選咗兩首唔同風格嘅歌，但照咁睇可能要選多一首啦！

Hi candytl,

How's the progress of your daughter's preparation ?  We change the song to B5 in September but she is still learning it and trying the pedal this week.  She is 7 and is just learning to use pedal.  However, she played with the feet on the floor since 6 years and only sit partly on the chair.

我囡囡生得好細粒, 有排沒踩得pedal. 你囡囡一定長得好高.

My daughter's heat is also on 1/10, at 11am, at Tom Lee.  Maybe we can meet each other.  How old is your daughter ?

My daughter is still learning the notes of one of the song and trying the pedal.  We stop practising the most familiar song for a few weeks to cool it down, but now there is not enough time to warm it up again.  None of the three songs are quite ready and the situation is quite disastrous.   Just do what we can this week.
