Hi, both of these 2 schools are new for Form 1 student.  

I am thinking to send my kid to either one of them.

If you were me, which one you would choose ?

我的女兒也被C<Y取錄升中一！

但是，我們上星期去過CKY 蘇屋邨12月暫借用的校舍，好舊，我的女兒好抗拒. ，我的朋友也看過，都覺好舊。老實說，我也有同感，我知我應先以教学理念為本， 但是，情感上，實在控制不了,I am very cheap.

Dear kkpapa,

Noted your comment.  This is also a reason that i like CKY.    Because this is very hard for a school to arrange a trip outside for all student.

我小女今年會升小一(播道), 我覺得校長好有辦學經驗, 之前佢能夠將一間band 5 school train 到band 1, 佢先己又教過名校, band 5 school, 天水圍新移民學校, 所以我對此校好有信心, 而且學費平係我考慮因素.

My boy was also accepted for F.1. I know very little about the temporary school site. May I know the address so that I can go and see with my son?

According to the school letter, new F.1 students need to register this Thur. I have to make my choice within these 2 days.

Any advice about the new secondary education of CKY is very welcome.

If you take a taxi, you can ask him to go to 蘇屋邨，港利道，現址是新會商會学校，旁边係巴士總站！ You can go there and have a look.

Even though we have received an official letter from CKY, they did not mention the exact address of this temp site.  Very strange.  CKY's management is quite poor in some ways.

For Creative 啓思 and 播道， they have listed all details and posted it on the web site.   They will even list each of the single step of the construction schedule.    But CKY will never do it like this.  You have to think think CKY has already established for many years la, but management still likes this.   

Anyway, personal feeling only.

Have to stay at this old temporary campus for 3 years is really not good for secondary students.  Have you applied to Creative Secondary as well?  They have new and large campus, IB program and the principal is quite good.  Secondary school fee is lower than CKY.

CKY said 3 years, but i am afraid of delaying the schedule to even 4 years.  

Yes, we have also applied for Creative, and they accepted our application.  We have met the principal who is a very very smart guy.    His mission is very firm and definite.  We have a very good impression on him also.   The campus is good also.

For 播道， the principal is a very nice guy.  He gives us a feeling that everyone likes a family member in this school.  This is very funny that he said parents can have lunch with kid also during their lunch hours.

Hi, it's seems you have quite good comments on Creative Secondary, then, how about Creative Primary School ? Do you know any comments ?

Just checked with them, they mainly teach the lessons by Cantonese, English and Mandarin,

For English lessons, half lessons are taught by Net teacher, half lessons are taught by "local teacher"
may be the net teacher is less than IS school, but which is more than local govt school, do you have
any advice ?

I only know that Creative is an active based Chinese primary school, kids are happy, have high Chinese standard.  Their secondary school is very new, only know that the new principal was principal of ESF school and Phoenix and he is quite good.

Your kid is very smart, got accepted by all the 3 schools!  So which school will you choose?  May I know if your kid graduated from active approach private primary school like Creative?

I went to Creative primary school yesterday, and looked at their 中一派位 result.

There are about 54 kids (About half of the total) from Creative primiary will be continued their study in Creative secondary school.

Also, their school allocation is also quite good.

I really like Mr. Cheung (Principal of secondary school).  He is very professional.  He has metioned that all of the IB school will exchange information between them, not like local tranditional school.  They will help each other to upgrade their standard in order to upgrade program.

Most of the HK traditional school will just manage by their own and for their own.  They seldom exchange or communicate info with the others.

By the way, my sister is thinking to send her kid of Creative primiary also.   

So, i think sending kid of Creative primiary is really a good choice.

播道 had not yet confirmed to accept my kid because there were many kids to apply for ony 10 seats.  Even though we had sent the form last week, we have to take test together with those who just sent form yesterday.   School said we have to wait for the result today or tomorrow.  Hope we have a good news at least we have 1 more choice.

I still do not have any idea of which school to go with.  So, very headache.

By the way, my kid is from a traditional primary school in Kowloon Tong.  
After experiencing this kind of tranditional school, we think that kid is really tried and hard to study.  They have spent too much time to finish homework, to take testing, exam...etc.  

They have not much time to spend on the other activities. This is really not i want to see.

So, i think better to change her education to an active school.
