How to find out when did a 2nd piano made

Can anyone let me know how to find out a 2nd hand piano's year of made?

It is a Kawai KD-40S and I would like to know more about it. In fact, even I went to Kawai's homepage,  it tells me nothing.

Your help is in urgent need.

you can search it on the net with the brand name, model number and serial number.

Dear Harry Mama & other friends,

Thank you for the info.  For KD-40S the only info available in the net is as what you'd pointed out.  However, it didn't tell exactly of the one I with in a differenct serial number.  I sent a email to Kawai Japan, no one answered. Is there any other way to get a bit more info?

呢到有serial no. check, 如果您知 serial no. 就可以查到個琴大約幾時出廠.   但係如果琴倉d二手琴可能被改了no. 請小心選擇.

The one we are going to buy in fact having the serial number 2017704, KD-40S, a special made version in Japan, according to the info you sent me, it should be made in 1991.  A second hand shop we've known for 4 years, asking price at HK$28,000.  The sound of the piano is quite nice but I guess the price is rather dear.  Any idea what would be the market worth price?

Sorry, 價錢我就唔知喇 , 但有樣野您最好查清楚, 這個形號有冇出到 91-92咁新既年份, 您試下去yahoo 拍賣個網度, 有個賣家好好人, 佢好熟d琴, 好樂意答問題架. 問下佢KD-40S 的資料.
