I read some topics before and know that your daughter should be in P.2 now.  Do you think it's really hard to study in GH?  I'm afraid that my girl cannot cope with it herself.  I'm a working mum and arrive home at almost 20:00.  Some say that there are many homework here but can learn a lot from it.  Do you think so?

I know that your daughters are studying in GH.  Do you need to spend a lot of time on their homework, test and exam.?

Thank you for your useful information.  Especially the words, '...因為家姐話比我知無論佢讀邊間，
8 '9 點先返屋企係死到直！...'.  So, it's the case for parents of primary students.   

In fact, once my daughter was accepted, I have made up my mind to leave the office earlier as far as I can and sometimes my husband can help as well.  Hope we can make it.

Oh, you make a big sacrifice!  You are so great!  I think I cannot do so, both financially and emotionally.  I can't stay with my little monster, my younger daughter, for the whole day.

Thank you for your detailed information.  It gives me much more understanding to the school and  I believe that my daughter would become a responsible, capable and  independent child in GH.

My daughter will take the No. 5 school bus as well.  Will we be at the same stop?  

By the way, any girl will be in P.1B?  My daughter was allocated to P.1B but seems no mum's daughter was in the same class.

Sure, if we are at the same stop.  You know, there are a few stops at Yau Tong, like Yau Mei Court, Ko Chun Court, etc.

Perhaps, we would meet each other on the Orientation Day as there should be school bus to take us (student + parent) home.

Thanks for elegant's information.  I checked the books tonight and my finding is, 'Learn with me Mathematics 1A' is not here but instead, there is 'Learn with me! Maths 1A'.  The publisher is 'Educational Publishing House Ltd' but from the book list, it should be 'Times Publishing Ltd.'.     

On the registration date, the staff from the book store said there should be 37 books in the bag and we just verify the count only.  I will call the store to check tomorrow.

I called the book store this morning.  The staff did not give me the details but he said we can change the book at the book store if we think it is not the one on the list.  So, it seems it's not necessary now.

校車叔叔 did not call me yet.  Will he confirm the pick-up point over the phone?  I was told on the registration date that route No. 5 would be a 28-seat school bus.  If there are many pupils on the route, would it become a large school bus?

你們會買多少套給小朋友?  I bought 2 dress and 1 set of PE uniform.

My girl was 121.5cm when measured in kindergarten and I think she is about 122-3cm now.  Size 28B is just fit and so, we bought size 29B which is slightly over her knees.   :

Yes, it's quite difficult and need sometime to do the ironing but I think I will not '剪去底裙,穿連身底衫裙代之'.  From some GHS parents, the girls have to change the PE uniform at school in the 3rd term of P.1, it should be more convenient and time-saving for them as they don't need to take off the 連身底裙 and put on the 上身底衫 and repeat it again after the PE lesson.  They are only 6-7 yrs at that time.

I'm going to give my girl a small bag carrying snack and drink for the recess.  Is it OK or should it be put in the schoolbag and take it out during the recess?  Any idea?

Hi All,

I packed the schoolbag for my girl as well.  Does anyone know,
1.  what is 'Activity Chinese'?  Do they need to bring Chinese books for that?
2.  similarly, do they need to bring Maths. books for 'Activity Maths'?

My girl got the crayons and folder from school as well.  She said that the folder is to be kept at home, for filing?  The crayons are to be used in Art lesson but our class teacher did not mention on last Saturday the stuff to be brought for the lesson.

Hi KristMum,

My daughter did not mention the scissors, glue, etc.  Maybe she had 'got lost' in the lesson.   

On Monday, she said the crayons she got from school are to be used in Art/Craft.  Some mums of other classses said table cover should be taken as well.  I'll check if there is any update in her handbook tonight and if no, I will prepare the following in a A4 or A5 zipper bag,
1. crayons,
2. scissors and glue,
3. table cover,
4. apron and sleeves (I bought in school on 1/8)
5. wet tissue (I put in her schoolbag everyday)

My girl's handbook also wrote 'no need to bring anything for Art/Craft', of course in Chinese.  So I packed nothing for the lesson, not even the crayons.  You know, she always complains that I don't believe her whenever I have query on what she said.

By the way, what kind of 檯墊 did you prepare for your girls?  The keeper of a bookstore suggested me to have a big piece of 雞皮紙 and cut into suitable size.  I think it's good as it is waterproof and it can be folded and put into the zipper bag I give her for Art/Craft.

I also expect that it would be postponed until further notice.  My girl is in PE uniform today.  Is it OK for taking photo?
