插班生First interview 在上星期六完成.  有無家長今天收到CKY通知進入這星期六Second Internview?

I called them just now, i.e. at 4:30pm. They said they have not made all the phone calls to inform parents about 2nd interview.
For the case of P.2, no phone call has yet been made.
I asked if they could tell me the result; the reply was no. I need to wait for their call.

Yes, we joined the interview on Sat. We waited for about 2 hrs before we meet Principal Lau. Since she knew there were serious delays of interview appointments, we only meet her for 5-10mins together with another family.

My husband said I was a bit nervous and didn't respond too well. My child was very nervous, she seemed very shy and didn't talk loud enough. I was a bit disappointed, but believe we have tried our best.

What about you? Which year you apply and did you join the interview?

Why there was such serious delay?  Waited for 2 hours for an interview of 5 mins?

P.1 had their registration on the same morning. Principal Lau talked to the parents of new students before she started to interview. As she said, some of the talks/interviews were a bit long, and caused serious delays.

I feel bad as other parents might talk for over 20mins with Principal Lau, but we only have 5-10mins shared with another family. The interview was rather rush and superficial. We don't really have the chance to leave a good impression. :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

According to CKY parents, the admin. of CKY has much room for improvement. I agree, but believe the teaching quality and curriculum are far more important. So, still have a strong desire for my child to be admitted to CKY.

My girl was so so on the second interview.  She didn't feel nervous as she didn't care.  Do you know when will CKY call for final result?  I forgot to ask them.  Did you apply other school for P2?

A teacher said they would inform result around early Jul, but no exact date.
I didn't apply for other schools this time. I use to have shot gun approach before - two years ago, I applied for about 10 schools for my girl's P.1. Now that she has studied in a traditional school for one year, I think I know very well what I want, and just applied for CKY.

Did you heard about HKBU?  Heard a lot about this school and seems good to child for study there.
I felt tired as I did the same as you by two years ago.
Do you know how many vacant for P2 second interview last week?  I saw there have over 30 child were on the list.

I haven't done any search for HKBU. Just have heard that this is through-train school whereby kids could get a space in Baptist University eventually. However, most teachers are local Chinese. CKY has many NET and offers a truely bi-lingual environment.

Yes, you're right.  This is my thinking too.  Bi-lingual environment in HK school (except Int'l school) is less.
It is very annoying that the result can only be announced for few days later.  Some of the schools are very good as they will announce the result just one or two days.
