放棄德望是不是好可惜?

Of course St Paul's 啦﹗D學生英文又好﹐校內校外成績都好D啦﹗St. Paul's 真係出名D喎﹗我好多D同事係個女讀 nursery 同 kindergarten時已部署入SPN/SPK架啦﹗

Hi fionwong2707,

I don't know because my daughter did not attend the 2nd interview (she entered St. Mary's last year). I only heard that the headmistress will interview the candidate herself.

congregulation that u daughter has got place in both GH and SPCS.  As my daughter is just on the waiting list for GH. Could you advise me when the registratio date for GH is ? Thank you

GHS sent a letter to me yesterday to ask me whether to reserve the seat or not  and reply slip should be sent on or before 15/6/2006.
I think the school can confirm how many seats are left after 15/6/2006.
If you want to apply it , please send your letter and profile to GHS again or phone call to GHS to ask for it.

St. Mary Vs GH
I don't agree that ST. MARY is better than GH.
In coming future, I guess GH will be much better than St. Mary.
For money concern, I may opt for St. Mary.

GH Vs SH (private)
GH -> lots of homework, very strict
SH (private) -> happier, fewer homework
English standard of GH may be higher.

If you choose alliance primary school, which secondary school are you expecting after 6 years? MCS, Heep Yunn or ...  You must keep your girl top rank in the class for six years and then join the lucky draw again.  Will you take this risk?

I think both schools are more or less the same.  One is in HK side and the other is in Kln side.  Choose the one where close to your home.  It would be good for your child.

I think St. Pauls are good generally, e.g. St.Paul Co-ed, St. Paul Boy's, St. Paul (Happy Valley),etc.  But how good is St. Paul Convent? I don't know!  No reference from the past HKCEE exam.

For English standard, in career forum, GH girls always give a very good impression to their English standard and would never let you down.  

To say SPC is better than GH in English is too subjective!

德望英文standard同課程同樣高, 小朋友讀得很辛苦!
我姪女讀不成,最後由校長寫信轉去協恩,雖然年年考第一,但她已經封自己做失敗者.

我淨係知如果唔係全級頭幾名, 都未必有機會考插班試喎, 係德望讀書不成, 不止可以轉協恩, 仲可以考第一

If you are confident that your child will get the top position in the form, you can choose APS.  But I think most of the parents/children don't want to take this risk.  Lucky draw is not a funny game to play.

我都有諗過要我個大女去試下考德望，不過聽其他媽咪講話呢間會好難入，入到都會讀得幾辛苦，所以最後入左農圃道官小，而家都算唔錯。

名校都是要精英啦, 如讀不上應轉校, 不應說三道四來抺黑學校, 因還有很多絕大部份的精英會留下繼續快樂地成為社會精英領袖.
