請問你哋的小朋友有冇讀緊或讀過呢間學校呢？覺得如何？

我想比我仔仔在呢間讀小學，因為其它國際學校大部份都是只用英文教學 (九龍區)，而呢間係以英文、普通話 (有得學寫中文字)，其次仲有法文學。間學校好近屋企，行路都到。

No, CAIS only has 2 classes of Mandarin per week, French is an option for non-Chinese speaking students only.

i think it is 3 classes of Mandarin per week, French is an option for all students.

Students can only choose Mandarin or French, not both.

都唔係飛仔ge, 此終係國際學校學生, 有d唔同普遍香港中學的中學生, 你自己接受得到咪得law.

I once talked to a Mommy who sent her son to CAIS after completing P6 in a traditional primary school. Her opinion was that after transferring to CAIS, her son started to enjoy school again.  He wasn't performing well in his primary years but had made a big change in the new school and had become more positive about learning now.  They liked the family atmosphere there, e.g. the school announced a student's birthday through the microphone...and the students were taught to treat each other with love and respect. Being a teacher herself, she must have done some thorough research before making the decision to transfer her son there.  Her son speaks English with a good accent after being there for only a few months.  I noticed it too last time when he played with my daughter.

Can any parents share the experience of K3 interview??  Parents need to interview or not ??

As I noted in the web-site, they will test children's english and maths standard.        

Please share your experience.  Thanks.

Hi TinaMummy,

I can share my experience of the interview with you.

Before the interview, the Vice Principal would talk with the parents for 5-10 minutes. You may ask her any questions about the school at this time.  After that, parents are expected to leave the interview room.  

The interview would last for around 30 min. The Vice Principal read story book with yr child, asked her/him some questions related to the book.  Then, she showed the child a paper, asked them to distinguish/write the alphabets, count the numbers, … The interview was not so difficult.  Actually, I thought that she only wanted to assess the communication skill and response of yr child.  After the interview, parents was asked to return to the room.  The Vice Principal told you about yr child's performance during the interview.  We knew the result immediately.

Thanks for your reply.  Does your kid study in CAIS ??  I called to school this morning and the staff asked me to call again for appliction form this coming Oct.

Yes, my son is now studying in K3.  I'm quite satisfied with this school.  His class teacher is very nice.

How old is your kid?  Are you going to apply for your kid?  Usually, the interview will be arranged in Jan of each year.

My daughter is now 3.5 years old and studying K1.  This coming October I will apply CAIS for her.  If CAIS accepts her, she will finish K2 then join CAIS.
