Can anyone help to state why these schools are good?  What are their strengths?

I know that DGS is very competitive and is a breeding ground for leaders and executives.

How about Co-ed?  I believe there are only suitable school and nothing as the best school for all kids.  It is important to know what is you kid before you find a suitable school for him/her.

It is only my view.  No intention to offense anyone.

唔好意思，可能我理解能力比較差，我唔係好明你想講乜野。我己經寫左呢幾間係隨便想出黎既好學校，並冇話佢地係最佳(best)學校。呢個世界根本就係冇最佳學校呢回事！而且個省略號(...)己經話左仲有好多好學校，男女校當然有好多好學校，冇寫出黎只係因為一心諗住女校，冇即時諗到男女校。

我同意揾學校要揾一間適合自己子女既學校，但究竟乜野學校先適合自己子女，我諗好多家長自己都未必識答。係小朋友五歲既時侯已經需要幫佢揾小學，家長係呢個時侯係唔係已經充分了解小朋友既能力、天分及性格？我自己既經驗就係唔試過都真係唔知邊間適合佢，好似我一向覺得自己個女並唔適合競爭力大既傳統學校，點知幾年過來，佢非但十分適應，仲讀得非常開心。

我亦非常同意AmyWonglo所講，呢類討論非常無謂，容易造成爭坳。只係隨便寫幾間，又冇分名次，仲話埋唔係剩係得呢幾間，都已經被質疑。如果有人列埋名次，咪比人鋤到暈。

The problem is that a school is not a restaurant and you cannot just walk in and walk out.  Having third party opinion is always a good idea.

BK is an open forum and all those who abuse others for differences of opinion should be kicked out.  When I speak here, I wish to speak openly, freely and politely.

我諗要知道適唔適合自己個小朋友,我會最簡單要知既係....間學校用乜書,默書/測驗/考試既次數/範圍,校風,學習氣氛,老師/校長既理念,競爭大唔大.........有無咩特別要求小朋友,例如樂器/運動,學生與學生之間既氣氛如何.......希望幫到你選到合適既學校.........

你要問邊top 5學校,真係好多人都會比呢幾間學校你,但邊間先至係最適合呢,好重要呀........

女校來說，近幾年以女拔、德望和協恩爭做學界大家姐最激烈。

不過，是否最好就見仁見智了。

Seems like no one can set out their individual strength.  Is it just the name that we know about?

For example the DGS that I know is a school which trains lawyers, directors, business women.  Very competitive and thsoe who survive has high confidence and performs well in locating a good job but perform badly in locating a husband (too business minded).  Those who go to this school needs to be prepared for a good challenge and needs a strong heart and good family support.

The MCS that I know is now deteriorated severely because they have not switched to DSS.  The quality fo student has affected quality fo teaching greatly.  This will not improve unless they switch to DSS scheme.

This is the two schools that I followed.  Any comments on the others?  I need to know.  

I trust that this is just sharing and everyone should be polite and allow everyone to share their impression.

I think this is an overstatement.  I agree that there are many bright girls in DGS and their English is very good.  However, many girls in school like SPC, MCS, St. Mary, Hip Yan, etc. are also very outstanding.  It depends both on the school and family training.
