Starters School facilities and environment are very old... do they have any amah to clean up the school all the time???

apart from ESF, which international school did the student get into??

do they have a school diary to communicate with parents everyday??

The school has janitor staff to do the cleaning job and take children to the bathrooms. Unlike local kindergartens, no school diary. Some moms told me students go to French IS and Canadian IS..that's all I know.

my son will start to attend Starter School on February 2006, afternoon class at Wanchai, glad to hear you said some moms told you the students go to French IS , as i love this school very much and would like my son to get in.

Starter School 係傳統英國課程, 唔會有中文學的.
老師係 Native English Speaker（white people) .

我仔仔係 Anfield 返過 playgroup,全班14人都係 Chinese.

Starters is starting to offer afternoon (3 hrs per day, 2~3 times a week) Mandarin Class as of this month.

Since ESF has changed the admission criteria starting from the SEP 2006 term, I'd love to know the success rate of Starters Students being offered interview/admitted to any ESF Primary Schools.

smallping: I heard that Alison’s Letterland Child Care Centre in Causeway Bay is not bad, small class size with a lot of non-Chinese students. You can call or visit them to check it out.

I'm also thinking ESF kindergarten in Sheung Wan.  Any sharing?

ESF kindergarten - their environment and teaching system are good but 97% are chinese student, some of the kids talk to each other in cantonese, those will not get good english, if their english is poor, he/she will get a place at ESF Primary or other international school and couldn't get back to local Primary. So make sure you have to communicate in English with your child at home in order to learn good English.

Thanks for sharing.  97% Cantonese .. that's quite a big portion of Chinese studying there. For Central and Western district, any kindergarten will you recommend with good English environment?  

Is there any website for Starters School?  The school fee is not that expensive.  However, for ESF, it costs HKD 4,500 per month.

What's the logic of "if their English is poor, he/she will get a place at ESF primary..."?

The fact is: If the kid's English is poor, he/she will not be able to enter ESF primary or other international schools!
