我個女將會讀三歲班，我參觀過校舍兩次，見啲小朋友讀得好開心，而且有禮貌，校長話係直升的，只不過我想睇吓除咗耀中小學，仲會唔會有其他選擇啫。

Your girl will be admitted to the mainstream or international stream?  My son is currently studying at yr 2 programme and I am also thinking if I shall let me stay at YC for yr 3 programme in 2006.

我選擇了本地班，不過校長話如果想轉國際班就5月前决定，所以我都係心大心細

Did you apply for other kinders?  I shall have to make my decision by next Friday, 2 December if I want to stay at YC.   TT (international stream) and Kentville have already accepted my son for K1 in 2006.  Very struggling.  

What do you think of the mainstream programme for yr 3?  Understand that there is an hour English lesson everyday... sounds better than other local kinders in Kowloon Tong.

I will be visiting the Somerset Road Campus this Wednesday (my son is now studying at the Kent Road Compus) and hope to get more information before making a decision.

BTW, you know YC primary is an international school so if you want to study at there I guess you have to let your girl study at the international stream rather than mainstream as the English standard cannot be compatible.  I would say, the mainstream programme is similar to those local kinders with NET only.

My son is studying in Yew Chung's Yr.4 class.  Last year, he studied in YC at a class called "Skippers".  This class was used a billingual teaching method.  Besides a Chinese teacher,there was a English native speaking teacher stayed with them all the time;just same as international stream, but the school fee are only $44xx.  You may consider this because you will have one more year to think about the future arrangement for your children.

主流班原本就是預備小朋友將來入讀本地學校,故此在課程上已跟上.我兒現讀主流Yr4班(即k2),每天有英文堂,課堂教授時間約30分鐘;但外籍老師會逗留約一個多小時(有時陪學生食茶點或玩耍),另每星期有2次普通話課.我覺得比一般kinders更多更充足,所以無須擔心.
至於升小問題,視乎家長選擇.據我所知,有入dbs,lasalle,hkuga,creative,gts, plk cky etc..

多謝你們的意見和資料，因為我屋企唔夠大，生bb要搬大D, 所以先咁早考慮學校問題。我自已讀咗十多年填鴨式教育，己經怕怕了，有D朋友話kindgergarten and primary school 讀 mainstream school, 打好底後才change to international school, 不過個個小朋友都係直升，到時有冇學額for outsiders就好成疑問.

現時我都係target 一D中英並重的international school, 可以選擇的學校實在唔多，現時的心水學校 有 Yew Chung and Singapore International School.  

Yew Chung 的校園好似細Ｄ，我會係open day 時參觀下，但我較為擔心同學是否多數都好富有，我只是中產階級，擔心小朋友到小學時開始develop”錢”的idea時，見身邊的同學個個住大屋，又有私家車兼司機接送，會自卑or 比人discriminate.

2ling, 我有朋友的小朋友讀Kentville, 功課超多，if you choose this one, your kid would likely go to mainstream primary school and then secondary school.
