According to the school's annual report for 2002-3, St Stephen's Church's HKCE passing rate is 65% (the best 5 subjects). You can say the school will take in both band 2 and band 3 girls.

Central and Western district is a peculiar district for girls as I analyzed a couple of months ago. If you are a band 1 girl, you are almost guaranteed to be allotted to any school in the net you name. But if you are a band 2 girl and are not from St Stephen's Girls' primary, Sacred Heart primary or St Clare's primary, you will be in trouble.

The aggressive tactic will be to put SSGC or SCGC as the first choice and then you may be one of the very few lucky ones in band 2 to be alloted to these 2 schools.

The prudent tactic is to go for a decent band 2 school outside the area.

不如你試下跨區, 南區應該較多band 2 學校

我覺得聖士提反堂中學 (男女校) 的校風麻麻, 所以不大想選這間.  而南區有那些選擇呢?  好像除了呂明才, 也沒有太多選擇!

If you prefer schools in the south district, you can consider True Light or Pui Tak.

St. Clare's 應是  band 1.

如自行時選鴨利州的真光, 入到的成數應是100%, 但又想留個機會在第二輪博堅道的英華; 所以都有點矛盾.

The ratio of band 1 to band 2 girls in St Clare's Girls' College should be about 50/50, but the problem is that it has only about 10 open places for the net.

If you are sure that your girl is a band 2 student, don't waste time in putting down Ying Wah as the first choice, you are ruining your girl's chance in getting into a decent school.

If you are also so sure about the chance of getting into true light, put it down in the second round. For the first round, select an EMI school in another school net.
